If none, comment below.
It's been only 2 months and I've seen my friends on Destiny log in less and less. Just wanted to see what everyone else thinks.
Edit: seems like the majority feels the game is too repetitive... I feel like this is tied to the lack of content. A lot of people have also commented about that.
Lack of content = feels more repetitive
Tons of content = repetitive but feels less repetitive
Bungie!!! Get more content out asap. Also dark below probably needs more because the main game hit a wall after 2 months. 2 levels will hit a wall in 2 weeks...

It is a mix of the PVP, the repetitiveness of everything, the loot system, the connection issues, the lack of a voice system outside your party, the inability to matchmake raids/nightsfalls/weekly strikes, the environment sizes, the story, the NPC interactions, the need to leave console and go online to actually learn about backstories... You can literally pick and choose any shortcoming you want

the community is not decreasing. we are just losing the scum. this would be like saying that the crack house bust where 100 dealers / druggies were taken off the streets caused the community to decrease.
-
why isn't "all of the above" an option??? Or as the speaker would say, "i could tell you..."

What am I supposed to do, farm xp bounties every day for years? Farm the raid every week for years? Farm spirit bloom caves until my eye pop out of my head? I just listed the whole game. Neat.

27 Antwortenmultiple reasons but none you have stated lol. CoD is a huge draw yes, but I have friends playing both. However, what I am starting to read on various forums is that a) They shot themselves in the foot with the dlc exclusive to play station. There's many ways to make something exclusive but witholding content is not one, especially when the DLC is SO SMALL. b) DLC is too small, especially for that price, especially after how small the base game is and all the farce around it. In most games, when they say a DLC, especially in rpg/mmo, it's a new map, more skills, months of fun. 2 levels, 2 strikes, 1 raid and not much more addition to the map (lol moon lol) is a joke and mocks the gamers. c) progression wall/honey moon phase - you see a lot of people asking to glitch boss and carry them in raid. once that's done, they have no idea what else to do and for some people, this can cut the fun out of the game. instant gratification doesn't mean actual gratification.

People always jump ship to a new game due to hype and then slowly go back to spreading equal time amongst the games. Destiny was really the only new game for almost 2 months so that's all there was to play. COD comes out and now people will jump to that for awhile and then come back to Destiny. Same thing will happen to Master Chief Collection.

There isn't enough of a draw to keep playing once you get to a certain point and plateau. The community will probably fluctuate greatly between DLCs.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Drakan: 11/5/2014 5:44:29 PMNone of the above. Main problem is its broken loot system. It strongly reminds me of Mass Effect's 3 multiplayer and the impossibility to get ultrarare weapons that eventually burnt players out including me. Mass Effect's 3 main game (solo) was crap but the multiplayer was great fun. However it mas marred by absurdly impossible odds to get ultrarare or rare weapons that almost all players never got to see after spending 100's of hours playing. There are much better games and more rewarding out there. It's almost masoquist the punishing RNG this game has.

Just like most games the "honeymoon" phase is over. Every games experiences a slight decrease after different amounts of time. With the increase in short attention spans overall throughout internet using populations this time comes sooner.
-
I personally getting a little annoyed at them avoiding solar on nightfall.

New games. I got AW and will get MCC, but not leaving Destiny for good.

Progression Wall.

Ummm every answer?

Lack of loot! I have almost every weapon I've wanted to get. There really is no point in playing any longer. They need to drop a weapon pack or something just to keep people interested.
-
I've noticed this trend as well. I've made a bunch of PS friends through the forum, reddit and LFG and usually my list was filled with people playing destiny but now I only see a handful.

1 Antworten6 strikes over and over daily quests of a mission u played 30 times herioc weekly same as the strike you played over and over weekly nightfall same as the weekly strike and strike you have played over and over. Ye im going with repetition.
-
I'll do the nightfall, and raid every week but other than that there isnt too much worth doing. The underlying problem is the loot system. Not worth my time to play dozens of strikes or crucible matches anymore when I never get lucky.

1 AntwortenA lot of people like me for instance might be getting annoyed with the cry babies getting literally any good gun nerfed i still play the game because i love it but bungie needs to stop it's really ruining my experience

3 AntwortenLack of content, incoherent story and repetition.
-
Getting disconnected from a mission or strike when almost at the end of it & seeing a stupid error message. This has made me not want to do anything other than patrol missions, & it's gotten worse since the last update.
-
2 AntwortenI feel that pve is lacking due to strikes dont go through all of them and some exotic bounties make u do crucible. Let me just kill 10000 enemy's instead or a choice in bounty. You pick the bounty then choice pvp or pve then you do what you want for bounty.
-
I think it's lots of reasons, not just one. It gets very repetative, there's almost no story, there really isn't that much to do except hope for good luck with random drops. The way it is now I jump on to do the daily for my characters and then there is literally nothing to do after that. I have one of each class, all 3 are 30, all my weapons and armor are fully upgraded, I might jump in on a raid or two throughout the week just to see if I can get an exotic I don't have from the gorgon lair chest, but other than that I just find myself very bored. The constant whining about how everything needs to be nerfed doesn't help either, I got my mythoclast the day after they patched it and I rarely use it because the way it is now there are better options for primaries. Of course let's not forget the crucible, the lag has been bad since day one and doesn't seem to be getting any better, nothing like killing someone and then getting killed by that same person before they suddenly drop dead 2 seconds later, lol.
