It's been only 2 months and I've seen my friends on Destiny log in less and less. Just wanted to see what everyone else thinks.
Edit: seems like the majority feels the game is too repetitive... I feel like this is tied to the lack of content. A lot of people have also commented about that.
Lack of content = feels more repetitive
Tons of content = repetitive but feels less repetitive
Bungie!!! Get more content out asap. Also dark below probably needs more because the main game hit a wall after 2 months. 2 levels will hit a wall in 2 weeks...

Because the ones that made halo have either left the company. The ones staying here are soulless bunch of pricks.
-
Lack of swag
-
Well, this week WoW's WoD and MCC is coming out so that'll make a nasty dent.
-
It's not that I want content. I want a reason to care. The in-game story sucked, there's no other way of spinning it. No matter how good the backstory in the Grimoire cards is, I still don't really have a reason to keep playing, other than friends and gameplay. But I'm a story guy, so if I don't have a reason to care, and stick around, then I won't, and I'll find something that makes me care, the way Halo did.

The game is still the best fps on the market IMO and it's addictive. It does need to be refreshed frequently though with content to remain relevant.

7 AntwortenI don't see it decreasing. You post a message and it's still zipped off the front page within 10 seconds. The people who "left" or "were leaving" for other games are still here posting instead of playing those other games or exploring those games' forums. And from what I see on my friends list, most who did buy AW still come back to destiny at least once a day even briefly. I've never seen people put down a AAA FPS title for an older game on this scale, even if it is just for an hour a day it still speaks volumes, especially within the first couple of days of release. I know people who bought AW who have barely even popped it in yet, they're still on Destiny every night. Sure, some people flipped over, but I see nothing dwindling about this community.

9 AntwortenSo because your friends are playing less it means the community as a whole is decreasing? Because -blam!- logic.
-
Its because the main developer left.

Hardly anyone can get to level 30 because of the not giving out the raid gear I have two level 29 warlocks for three weeks all I get is shards and energy but nothing to put them on
-
Terrorists is 4 times higher than PvP is lacking. Epic fail.

Games like CoD, battlefield, Halo and other games have multi-player that adds goals to complete. With destiny, what's the point? Marks? Useless when you have all the legendaries you need. Levels? Nope, need raid for that. Experience? Just do PvE bounties. There's no sense of achievement once you hit a certain point. Reach 30 and things become null and void.
-
Yeah definitely not cod because I still come back to destiny for pve but cod for multiplayer
-
This might shock you but think of this for a second when new games come out people tend to go and try new games so don't get all excited about Destiny dying coz that's basically what your saying I've seen 12 of my friends list go to the new COD then come back to destiny

Server issues form recent patch.

It's actually fun doing raids and strikes at level 28+ and getting gear. - "getting gear" - Destiny makes it too hard to get gear. People get bored with playing the same thing over and over to get some item randomly. They stop playing. - levels 20-26 is a hard slog - the game is fun from levels 1-16 (maybe up to 20) then from 28 onwards. - I would have no trouble playing strikes and raids over and over if I knew I would get decent gear. Random is tough. Not easy for the casual user.

2 AntwortenLack of content. It will pick up when DLC drops
-
2 AntwortenI still play deleted my 3rd character which was a hunter bc unlike my warlock who start with full legendary/exotic gear due to drops and cryptarch. I have started a second Titan to go after raid boots and gloves. Since update haven't got to run much bc most get tick when the glitches come in and quit. Lol but got him to 19 today and will be making the Titans raid priority since they be 29 to the warlocks 28. And bc he already has raid helmet bc I got a random invite at tower to do atheon and they said on normal nope it was hard. Lmfao I've seen atheon pushed but they couldn't do it so while the warlock leading the team tried we do it normal we won. Luckily I didn't get teleported I just dealt with unused gate supplicants and nova bombed and rocketed atheon.

It is the peak of new video game season so new games are picking apart all the user bases. February would be a good time to assess if Destiny lost or gained users
-
Terrorists!...Obviously
-
Fking work!
-
For me it's advanced warfare. Not because I think it's better but it's something new to play, I still play on Friday and weekends though.
-
11 AntwortenStill averaging 3 million players a day. Some stopped just for dlc
-
I'm bored of it can't bring myself to even do the nightfall / weekly this week yet again, with other quality games out and being released soon with alot more content can't see me playing again unless bungie steps up there game big time
-
2 AntwortenUnfortunately it's not a solid game. It has no foundation and it feels cheap. There's no depth. Over a month of raid work and my teams have dwindled, few have received enough gear to even attempt hard after over a month of weekly attempts on normal without any gear dropping. Destiny, sadly, is a game to be forgotten for myself. There's nothing enticing me to return and the world is dry with caricatures living in it. Raid bugs have yet to be fixed or properly assessed while they work on correcting easy boss fights, and I have more pressing concerns. There's just better ways to spin my time. Better games. Tuesday Halo comes out, then Pokemon ORAS. I'm more excited for remakes, but 2014 has overall been a disappointment. Talk to me next year. Alas, Destiny goes onto a shelf.

Im going to go with "Natural User Base Decay"
