I can do just as much damage, if not more, using a sniper. Throw in the fact that Xur sells icebreaker, and even the solar damage of golden gun is entirely useless. I personally think it needs a damage buff to make it useful against bosses, majors, and ultras. At least let it do critical hits.

i think the over penetrate doesnt work as advertised. Still only get 4 kills when firing into clusters of enemies, this would make it more viable for PVE use as well. FOH doesnt do much damage in PVE either, then again i dont use supers in PVE all that often outside of sunsinger and ward of dawn.

i think it should just be able to get crits. anything more and it will become too much :/

All hunters supers are worthless in PvE for the most part (some exceptions such as golden gun for oracles or blade dancer as a medic) but they are terrible for the most part yet they will get nerfed into oblivion because of whiners that complain eventually rendering the hunter completely useless

I have been lamenting about the Hunter's subclasses all weekend. It's so good to see I'm not alone. The GG doesn't seem to take down anything above a Vandal in my game. It's a super and should be devastating. This is purely PvE, of course. No idea about PvP.

I was thinking the same thing. I know some people are complaining its already good enough for pvp, but I think not for pve. I mean seriously, who care if they make it stronger, it already instant kills in crucible, but in pve, you can use all 3 shots on 1 major/ultra and still not kill it. And as Tierul says, snipers are already about the same strength. They should make it stronger.

2 AntwortenDamage scaling with Supers correlates to character level so, without any DIRECT way to buff Super damage outside of leveling, they can feel underwhelming at times in PvE.

Ive never even played as the Hunter class and I agree it sucks. It [b]should[/b] do visible damage to a boss's health. At least like 7 percent via three shots.

1 AntwortenTierul, do you raid much? (Serious question, not being a d*ckhead) GG is the only option in the Atheon fight. It 2 hits Oracles so if your team falls behind for some reason you can catch up super quick. Toss the Ach Sym helmet in the mix and you have 4 shots or 2 quick oracle kills. Not to mention it 1 shots naughty supplicants that manage to sneak by and look to wreak havoc on your buddies coming through the gates. Also, Gunslinger in general is a much better build. The trance itself is worth it. I was an avid Bladedancer but I've been converted. Bladedancer in my opinion is MUCH better in PVP and in some situations where you need to be the medic in PVE but certainly not in the raid which is really the only thing people do nowadays anyway. My 2 cents, but a good post bud.

It can be VERY useful in the right situation if ur for example on the nexus strike and a bunch of goblins spawn just grab combustion and keyhole if u want and u can get up to 5 or 10 orbs especially that army

It would be nice to have it last say 15-20 seconds longer in PvE and maybe a critical that extends it's use or shortens the recharge in PvP when you execute a headshot. Nothing more annoying in PvP when you activate the GG super and everyone takes off and you've just wasted your load. Lol Edit - it's useless in some battles - like the current nightfall. Didn't help me at all get to the final boss.

Yeah, a small damage boost would definitely be nice on it. Funny thing though, most people don't realize the the GG actually DOES get critical hits. The damage number isn't yellow, but it still does bonus damage. I found this out when sometimes I would kill Supplicants in one shot and sometimes I wouldn't.

Yeah crit hits would be the way to go.i think it's handy for finishing majors and ultras when they are injured.plus it's useful for injured enemy's because you can get one shot off and see how many your gonna need to take him out,other supers are not sustainable and can be Easley wasted on an injured enemy.i want a helmet for 6 shots.it would be called (the cry of a thousand nerfers)

You're absolutely right. golden gun in itself is near useless. That is until it becomes the near best super with the exotic helm adding an extra shot at lvl 30. :) Bladedancer though... I don't think any buff of any kind can make it worth using in pve ever.

3 AntwortenLol, Golden Gun is better than Arc Blade. You try and use your bladedancer super on any strike/mission/raid whose enemies are bigger than you at lvl 25+. Either you get one hit KO'd by a tiny minion, or you get stomped on by anything bigger than a hive knight.

1 AntwortenI use the golden gun as a safety net. Since I mostly try and kill things at a medium to long range (scout rifle, sniper rifle and rocket launcher), it can be very awkward when a few knights or captains or even a large group of weak enemies spawn near me. When that happens I'll throw up the golden gun and clear them all out in the couple of shots. This means of course that I tend to use my golden gun only a few times a day. I could play for 4 hours and will probably only use it once or twice.
