I'm embarrassed as a person and gamer.
I've been gaming since I was 5 years old. I'm 32 years old. I've played every system you could think of and some you probably couldn't think of. For the past 27 years I've seen so many different changes. Some great, some not so much.
The one change that kills me the most is the community. I agree that there are mistakes and problems with Destiny. But the way I've seen some of you guys (or girls) post or talk about Bungie/Activision is just outrageous.
But it's not just in forums. The way some of you act and speak online is seriously disturbing. If you want to call me old and troll and make fun of me go ahead. I know it's going to happen. I don't care.
But if my parents knew that I talked and acted the way some of you do they would beat the piss out of me on principle alone. And the thing is I would let them.
Rome wasn't built in a day. If you couldn't tell in Beta that this game wasn't going to be perfect then you aren't much of a gamer anyway.
Quit the cussing. Grow up. And actually think of some constructive criticism.
Edit 1: I'm not saying that you don't have a reason to be upset. And I'm not saying you shouldn't voice your opinion on here. Feel free to say what you want. Say whatever you want about me. It doesn't bother me. I'm not going to get mad or hate anyone for what you have to say. I'm just appalled at the way the gaming community has changed. Some of you say i need to get with the times and get used. Well DLC is the times now. So get used to it.
Oh yeah and I know Destiny isn't Rome. It was a freaking metaphor.

Right, but talking about Rome: Rome didnt put up fancy trailers that promised things you couldnt find in town, Rome didnt promise the colosseum would host an event in which your armor and the strength of your weapon matters while giving everybody the same wooden blade to fight with, Rome never said that you can explore the whole town while putting invisible walls in it that you cant pass through, Rome didnt cut parts of its town and tried to sell them seperately while claiming that those areas that you can glitch into are just "testing areas". Hope you get the picture! Everytime i read "official posts" a shanty from AC 4 comes to my mind: "Thats a lie, thats a lie, thats a lie, lie, lie!"

Except the fact that you're a troll and edited your topic right after DeeJ gave you an answer theres one "natural" psychical thing happening here which happens in every life situation. Whenever something's good or running, noone will ever complain, they get used to it, and theyll almost never thank you for the work which was done. But if it doesnt work out, somethings broken or youre frustrated because of something, youll be loud very fast. Thats why THIS forum, just like any other Forum is mainly filled with negative Posts. Bungie Mods know that, Bungie mods will mostly answer ONLY to Threads that are constructive, of course they also check your problems but mainly they will Act if your problems are really existing. If you dont get an answer in the right time (Bungie Mods, US Time and so on) and you dont get the proper answer during their worktime, you can almost be sure that not the game has a problem but you. But there's one thing they should improve, Communication. They see a global problem, and dont tell us a status how far they fixed or analyzed it, you dont get nothing to know unless "Please tell us on what platform you are" which feels like mainly ignored or buying time. Rather tell us the real status than trying to buy time. Most of us are patient, but dont think were all stupid. Thank you.

14 AntwortenIt is nice how you perceive the world, but the community is getting tired of the practices of the game industry. I am just as old as you and have played all those systems and more but do you remember when a game was released it was the entire game. When I bought Final Fantasy 1, I remember buying the complete game; same goes for Dragon Warrior, Ultima, and others. Now the industry has found DLC and hot fixes so they release half a game and people just say "oh well Rome wasn't built in a day." Do you think Squaresoft would have stayed in business if Chrono Trigger had the same issues as Bungie is having with Destiny. How many companies folded because they couldn't launch a game that was complete but now days these companies get a free pass cause there will be DLC to fix the problems. These forums are showing some intense anger and foul words but rightfully so. I payed $65 and some payed more for about 6 hours of story, 6 strikes, a broken PvP, and some seriously lacking events; but don't worry 4 more $10 DLCs will fix everything because Rome wasn't built in a day.
