that many people don't use a hand cannon in this game. Its a fantastic weapon yet requires a bit of skill to use. any reason for this? please tell me your thoughts.

4 AntwortenI use my Vision of Confluence and The Devil you Know. My maxed The Last Word can sit in the vault and cry, I hate that weapon.
-
Used to use the Suros. Now I use The Devil You Know. 12 shots means AT LEAST 3 kills in PvP before a reload 😏
-
2 AntwortenBecause people are use to seeing them as secondary weapons. Using it as a primary puts you at a disadvantage when other weapons like the auto rifle can put more bullets on you before you shoot your 3rd hand cannon bullet.
-
Its because hanscannons require skill to use and people don't like having to aim.
-
You said yourself that they require skill to use. That's your answer
-
Ive used hand cannons and I like them quite a bit. I currently have a rare one but I'm trying to level up my legendary auto rifle right now. But I will say that they are one of the best feeling weapons in the game and being someone who used precision weapons in halo, the hand cannon is absolutely amazing and I would personally recommend it to anyone who wants a hard hitting, accurate weapon.
-
ive used hand cannons 95% of the game not cause i think they are any better then other guns just that there freaking badass.... plus hawkmoon rocks
-
3 AntwortenIt's because some people don't have the required skill, therefore revert back to the auto rifle due to only having to hold the trigger and aim, I'm not hating on auto rifles...cause I love my suros regime :) but once I get something like the last word or hawk moon that will be my gun to revert too

theres alot more people using handcannons now since they patched autorifles
-
Always used it since the Beta. Check my stats, almost all my kills are with it. And, I am rolling in a 3.08 K/D after almost 500 games in PVP. And most of these were when Suros' and Mythoclasts ran rampant. Those guns are amazing. More are using them now, after the patch, which is cool, but at the same time, I'm not such a snowflake no more.

i use the last word on my hunter diversify your portfolio
-
Most people use hand cannons that I play with.
-
Tamur's Lash; man. It works wonders.
-
I like to use my Regulator Mark.56 every now and then but I find the scout rifle to be a bigger better version.
-
I agree. But like you said, it requires a bit of skill and a level head. Casuals would rather hold the trigger down and wipe everything off the map without any skill. Skill is asking too much. (Sarcasm)
-
It is my main weapon with both my characters in every mode. TLW, The Chance, and The Devil Within. I wouldn't leave the Tower without them.
-
It depends on your play style I suppose. If you like precise aggression in a small cool looking package then the hand cannon is for you.

Bearbeitet von DemonRonin: 10/19/2014 5:09:34 AMPsh.. I use the last word. which usually leaves them with only one last word. "DemonRonin?!"

13 AntwortenBearbeitet von Hades Dragoness: 10/19/2014 11:28:12 AMI have been looking at them for my Hunter but I am unsure. Which Hand Cannons would people recommend? Edit: Thank you for your replies :) I will keep an eye out for these weapons and give them a whirl.

I don't have the skills for a hand cannon. My first time playing a fps, and my learning curve is a little slow. I enjoy it on low level stuff, but once my difficulty moves up, I have to switch to my AR
-
10 AntwortenYour question already had the answer It takes skill to use That's why not a lot of people use it.
-
I like them, but their clip and reload speed just don't do it for me, so I use scout rifles. If I got something like the last word I would probably use it.
-
At first I didn't use hand cannons because despite the cool name, they are just "pistols" which is anti-climactic. But I gave them another chanced again a while back and now they are one of my favorite weapons. It is devastatingly effective when scoring head-shots or Vex stomach shots. One bullet kills. And the snappy sites you unlock help score good shots. I don't use them in PVP though. I suck in PVP and am can't aim effectively against players on the move.
-
I got the hawkmoon yesterday from crucible, got my thorn maxed out, and got my tlw too... So i only switch to AR, SR, and PR when im doing raids, or removing corner campers in pvp...
-
I love them.

Limited ammo capacity with slow reload tends to turn off users. Early Hand Cannons are very low ammo capacity and reload speed gauntlets don't show up until about level 7 or so. Hand Cannons tend not to fall into high use until they break into level 10 and try it again.
