I have made a few posts regarding the non stop incessant whining from the community complaining that the game is unfair or unbalanced when they encountered people with the VM. It's sad that they bought a game that advertised role playing progression elements that really made it's selling points focused on becoming legendary through hard work and dedication to getting the best gear the game had to offer.
The VM was the one and only weapon in the game that felt like an exotic, and rightfully so you had to take on Bungie's most challenging content to obtain it, and there was no guarantee it would drop. I don't understand where all of these new generation of gamers are coming from with all the make all guns fair and square or we will bitch non-stop. You really don't want any gun to stand out in a game about striving to obtain better equipment?
If you want every gun to be balanced, and no level differences why in the hell are you playing Destiny, and then complaining until you ruin it for those of us who loved the PVE RPG elements? Isn't there enough games out there that are focused 100 percent on competitive multiplayer where everyone has all the same guns at their disposal? Why can't you play them rather than whine and bitch until you turn Destiny into Halo with Supers?
It's the new generation of gamers all these kid's growing up in the no child left behind programs. They don't want to hear that some people might have worked to obtain advantages that they don't yet have. They all want to be winners, it's sad when hard work gets met with incessant bitching by your fellow community.
P>S> To all posting it was barely nerfed, I have video footage showing that not only was %34 too extreme it was also a lie from Bungie. It now does over 50 percent less damage including headshots. I'm not the only one who has noticed this view reddit they have tons of footage there as well.

Bearbeitet von CheckForAPulse: 10/16/2014 4:18:47 AMWhile in part I agree with what you said about peoples mentalities, the guys who are crying about having their unbalanced crutch removed are just as bad as the people you claim are destroying gaming. Every game has guns which are slightly better or worse, especially in the right hands, everyone has a certain playstyle and they manage find a good weapon which complements it, their performance will reflect that. Yes it would have been hard to get, and yes it should be better than the other guns due to this (at least slightly) BUT I agree the change to the Mythoclast was necessary to keep PvP competitive. If it had been left unchecked the game would turn into 6v6 mythoclast only matches since pretty much the only thing to counter it was another mythoclast due to the 4 body shot kill. It would have made the game highly uncompetitive and extremely boring due to the lack of variety from match to match. The part I don't agree with was how extreme and how sudden the change was rolled out, it should have been rolled out over a period of time with smaller changes while they monitored the effects of the balancing changes. No competitive multiplayer game should EVER make changes as extreme and sudden as a 34% difference to a weapons effectiveness, these kinds of extreme measures usually lead to games stagnating due to every gun feeling absolutely useless long-term, or every gun feeling the same and being ridiculously powerful. The VM should have remained marginally better than all the other weapons in-game, but not to the point of only requiring a few body shots to kill. Regardless of player level and how many hours they've invested in the game the main decider of whehter you get a kill or not should be player skill, not the fact they managed to obtain and equip a single gun. Grinding the raid shouldn't automatically give players a golden ticket to dominate PvP due to a weapons poor balance, regardless of how hard they worked for it.

Your rude comments about "no child left behind" generation are not helping your case at all. Largely, I think you make a good point (stupid insults aside). A weapon from Destiny's hardest content should be powerful. That said, PvP is no fun if someone is effortlessly murdering you with a weapon you may possibly never be able to attain (given that only about 15% of players have completed VoG, this is a very real concern). Honestly, it just makes the case that Bungie needs to separate PvP and PvE in a greater fashion. Either have different stats for gear depending on PvP or PvE, or have different gear entirely.

3 AntwortenI dont agree with you saying you have worked hard for your legendary stuff etc....it usually means you have more spare time to play the game than others, simple as that.
-
111 AntwortenAgreed. Making everyone equal is a total socialist mentality. Capitalistic ideology is what this country (USA) was founded on. If you work hard for something, you deserve it. Socialists believe that no one should have more than anyone else, and that everyone is equal. SMH No one is a winner, when everyone "wins". I agree, the under-18 age group is really brainwashed by the whole "everyone is equal" mentality. Just look at the trophies they give kids these days just for participating, even if they were the worst individual, the worst team player, and didn't contribute ANYTHING, they still get a damn trophy.
-
Have to bump this up daily. Agree 100%

1 AntwortenI know, right? Remember when dumb kids could just go work on farms? They would get abused by their parents, work 18 hours of sleep, and two meals a day? Then they died at 12 of TB? God, I miss the good ol' days.
-
1 AntwortenWhile I agree the mythoclast should be strong, you are still a sick person. If you're so tired of little kids making the game worse, play another game. Nobody is stopping you but yourself.

Meh a PvE item shouldn't so well in PvP an that's been the formula for good MMOs for a while now. Hell WoW did it beat and Guild Wars 1 as well. PvP gear for PvP and PvE gear for PvP. I'm not disagreeing with you but I can't find the flaw in my reasoning. You should not kick ass on PvP because you did something awesome in PvE. You can show off your awesome item from PvE in PvP but it shouldn't be exceptionally good like it was. It's that simple.

I like being part of this generation. Because no matter what patches, nerfs, or hot fixes come, I will still be a better player than 90% of the people who play this game. Regardless of the nerfs, I don't complain. I still use VM and Pinfinity and people still complain. I love making the whiners whine and the people whining about the whiners whine. The game is fun, and I have fun destroying everything in my path.

I hate to say it, but kids learn of their habits from adults. If you see kids acting entitled, it's most likely a learned condition. Honestly, though, every generation complains about the younger generations. We still manage to survive. Everything will be ok
-
Welcome to a type of MMO. Enjoy the ride.
-
2 AntwortenSeriously, i hate you guys for being so goddamn stupid. Players getting mad at each other for mistakes that the developers make. PVP should be separated from PVE. Theres no way to balance it if you combine both. PVE players acting just as entitled as the pvp players. Destiny is a game that has both. Accept it. Bungie shouldve been making decisions for both pve and pvp.
-
Perfectly stated and horribly true.
-
2 AntwortenIt's this simple: In a system that grants rewards randomly you cannot possibly claim that one person 'deserves' anything above anyone else. Nobody can set out to 'earn' anything when receiving almost every reward in Destiny is down to pure luck, and that is the fault of the people who made this system. NOT the people playing it. When six people go through the VoG raid, why is it right that perhaps only one of those six will be rewarded above all the others? Stop blaming the players, blame Bungie for a very very poorly thought out reward system.

To be honest it is not just THIS generation but the past generations who are to blind by their own teachings that they are unable to see where they went wrong. It can be traced back many generations and it is up to the new generation to put a stop to the self entitlement. Will it happen? hell no, greed is human nature and will only get worse until we consume ourselves or someone finally says enough.

Exactly!

5 AntwortenSo you want the end game to be everyone using a gun which gives them the easiest kills and is so effortless to use. It should of been nerfed for PvP only. It takes the fun out of gaming instead of saying "Oh that player outplayed me I hope I can get some revenge on them the next time I see them" it is "Oh I got killed by that gun... yeah nice for getting lucky in terms of the RNG system but that is just such an effortless weapon" Yes if you look at my history I haven't done hard mode yet as I have been trying to work out a date to do it and the time (also waiting for them to be 29/30 level) with my clan mates - so congrats for doing it on hard mode but it shouldn't change the whole PvP dynamic where a gun can get that insta-charge as well as that amount of damage on body shots alone rather than aiming and going for headshots/precision shots. Yes a PvP is hard to balance with a varied amount of guns with differing stats that is why they modify the damage for that weapon type rather than having differing damages for each individual weapon (referring to the standard gametypes of Crucible) Also the only Exotics that you actually have to work for are the Bounties otherwise they are all just tied to RNG so that point falls rather flat in terms of earning most of the other exotic weapons

Nah, cry more.

Rpg elements Destiny Pick one I kid but srs i agree with you, the vex should not have been nerfed. If you have it, you deserve it, and it deserves to be op. I dont even play pvp that ofteb and i understand this. But it makes too much sense to keep the vex the way it was. It makes too much sense to have the hardest gun to get better than the others. But since it makes too much sense, bungie decides to not do that.
