Everyone seems to forget that unless you're playing the iron banner, level along with weapon and armor rarity is really a non factor because everyone is equally buffed or nerfed to keep PvP balanced. PvP is pretty much skill based. You have to take into account that fact that someone higher level then you may just be new to the PvP aspect of Destiny.

Some people may get lucky with engram drops, but to guarantee good gear, you have to level up with the vanguard or a faction and gain xp until you can buy their good gear. This is done by completing bounties, strikes, missions, or crucible. And even if someone is good at pve, or puts the grinding time in doesnt mean they will be good at pvp.

Bearbeitet von PoseidonOvr9000: 9/19/2014 2:17:40 AMActually, I myself have never been 'amazing' at Halo type multiplayer. In this game, I blasted through the PvE aspect, acquiring several Legendaries and bumping me up past level 24. Then I decided to do some PvP. Boy do I have some practicing to do. Point being, just because I'm a high level with legendaries does not mean I'm ubertastic at PvP. You can be level 10 with all green gear and still top the charts, just have to be good at PvP. Oh and sport a shotgun. All the kids run around with a shotty these days -_-

You've solved the riddle of the ages congrats. Here's an exotic engram that will NOT be an exotic or legendary XD

Destiny is basically a casino, except you spend time and hope you get something good.

Welcome to the wonderful world of loot grinding. *cough*WoW*cough*

Obviously

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von MysticJon: 9/18/2014 11:10:58 PMLuck plays a much larger role than skill in RNG games. That's just how it is and yes it sucks.
-
In these kinds of games loot is always luck. When it comes to the battle and selecting which class skills to use, that is where skill comes in. A person can have all the nice gear they want, but if they charge into the fray like John Rambo then they will get killed, guaranteed.
-
Grind and luck. It's the Destiny equivalent of Boats and Hoes.
-
1 AntwortenNo you ever figure the just do pve and don't play crucible non stop like a lot of people? You do know you can get good gear beyond the crucible right. Or do you want to be Internet cool guy?
-
Says game is more luck then skill. Claims to not be complaining. Then goes on to claim to be disappointed in performance by other players who have better gear. *waits for the other shoe to drop*
-
Bearbeitet von Tuxx: 9/18/2014 10:31:31 PMThe only way I think luck factors in is with supers and lag. I can't tell you how many times me and another guy have killed each other simultaneously, or when I've blasted someone with a fusion rifle and he dies 3 seconds later or just eats it and takes no damage.

Bungie need to fix this shit

Bearbeitet von JakeT907: 9/18/2014 10:27:12 PMThis is a common misconception. Level DOES NOT equal skill. Levels just how shows how much time you have put into the game. Your skill is actually your K/D. I killed many who are higher leveled than me, but their K/D are abysmal compared to mine. (You proved my point by beating the guy with the higher LEVEL because you have higher SKILL.) #myskillskill

Yeh basically

So wrong

13 AntwortenNo. You need to get rep up and BUY the gear /weapons .

-
Probably because that level 24 is to busy reviving your ass to get any kills.
-
1 AntwortenI dont know why its so hard for people to understand this concept. Level and gear advantages are disabled in the crucible the only time they are on is during iron banner.
-
and speaking of getting lucky with gear i feel like you bought your red death....
-
Bungie's favorite number is 7, which is the lucky number. It so happens to be my favorite number, too.
-
No. Basically this game is skill and determination with some luck mixed in. You still earn crucible marks, and if you're good you'll earn a boatload of them. Use them to buy your gear, instead if waiting for chance to help you.
-
This game is skill just cause you have better gear which is auto balanced doesn't mean it's just luck
-
2 AntwortenEarned my gear through vanguard and crucible marks because I'm incredibly unlucky xD
