  • Is there any plan to implement a random grouping tool for the 6 team raids for people who don't know another 5 people who are playing Destiny? A bit like the system in place for strikes, i think it's a little unfair to assume everyone has a group of people they know playing Destiny on the same system. And it's not always easy to be excepted by other gamers. By the way awesome game though, love it.

    • So why the hell are daily/weekly heroic strikes not tied to matchmaking??? EVERYONE knows the routine, I don't want to spend more time on a website organizing a 10min run than actually playing the game.... Fix this Bungie, I could handle being gated out of Raids since my friends can't all be on at the same time, but now even daily/weekly quests and rewards are out of reach....

      • Need more room for co-op right now its just three? Why not 4 or 5? And since its the most developed part of the game and should allow players to join public fireteams without needing to be invited

I just found something interesting in the definitions of the [spoiler]last three bosses in the final mission[/spoiler] [spoiler]their names are Eschaton, Imminent, and Primeval, in order of appearance. They mean: Eschaton Imminent Primeval The end [is] About to be The beginning. Also, their last names are Mind. Sounds like Bungie seriously wants us to keep in mind that "the end is only the beginning". [/spoiler]

            • I feel like I need to say this... This game didn't entirely live up to my expectations. It suffered from a severe case of over-hype. That does not mean I don't like it. On the contrary, I love it. It's a fun game, and since I don't get brought down by repetitiveness (this coming from a guy who spent a fair amount of time in the first Assassin's Creed game at the Assassin's Keep grappling passing civilians and throwing them down stairs because it was entertaining), I don't mind its playstyle. Fact is, I see this game as a stepping stone to something greater, hopefully. I mean, I think the biggest issue here is that over-hype and preconceived expectations meant the game didn't live up to what people were wanting. The over-hype is pretty self-explanatory; BUNGIE and ACTIVISION's marketing teams talked-up the game to seem like something it wasn't. As for the preconceived expectations (which works in conjunction with the over-hype), I believe that people were expecting BUNGIE to get it right the first time, much like they did with HALO: Combat Evolved, so when it wasn't perfect, they feel let down and become critical of the result. Destiny is not HALO. Destiny is a foray into a genre that, as far as my recollection goes, BUNGIE has no experience with. It's an RPG/FPS hybrid, and they nailed the FPS aspect perfectly; the weapons handle wonderfully, there is just the right amount of aim-assist, the sights of the weapons are useful and effective (coming out of a Franchise where only precision weapons had sights or scopes, all other weapons only have HUD reticles), the rocket launchers actually seem useful (this is just a jab at Borderlands, a distantly similar game, the rocket launchers in that game SUCKED), the enemy AI is intelligent, and none are too tough when fought at similar levels (even Majors and Ultras), the grenades and the melee attacks and respective abilities are fluid and effective (though not having a few grenades on hand can be an issue, a trade-off for a limitless supply), the vehicles, while limited in number, are nice well designed, and the difficulty is never too tough or too easy, unless you're looking for a challenge, or you're biting off more than you can chew. In this respect, BUNGIE hasn't let down. And a little personal thing, my favourite enemy are the Vex. Yeah, they don't exactly fight intelligently, but that's the point, they fight exactly as they're described to, and they're still dangerous. Now, the RPG facet of Destiny is somewhat lacking (though, mostly my biggest complaint is that weapons and armour that can take upgrades take too long to do so, and/or they become outperformed quickly before I can upgrade them, so I need to start upgrading again), that much I'll admit. But so was Borderland's in a way, yet that game became immensely popular. The story in-game is also rather lacking, though after reading the Grimoire Cards, I know BUNGIE cared enough to add in a goodly amount of setting material. It's all quite poetic actually. Maybe not as factually informative in a technical way, but revealing and deep in its own way. The Grimoire cards don't answer all the questions, but the way they make you ask more is quite fascinating. Now, I have a feeling more will be learned as time goes on, in updates, in DLC, and in future games. And that leads me onto another point; people probably thought this game was going to be like other RPGs, like the Elder Scrolls game, where the story involved rising from nothing and then defeating the evil that threatens the world by the end of the game. People were expecting the story to involve rising and then defeating the Darkness. I don't think it'll be like that. I think it'll be like HALO; each game is a little victory in a much larger conflict, ultimately leading to the overall victory against the threat of the series (the defeat of the Covenant and the stopping of the Flood in HALO 3). While this is not a normal aspect of RPG-style games, I don't mind. I enjoy Destiny thoroughly, even though I do have my own misgivings. And I will get the future games, because I have faith in BUNGIE that they will learn from this game, and improve upon future titles. I am of the opinion that this first game is a stepping stone to something greater. I mean, HALO: Combat Evolved turned out far different to what they originally planned (from an RTS to a squad-based TPS to a single-player FPS, and from chock-a-block with guns to ten usable weapons, including grenades), but back then even after BUNGIE's early successes, no one was really paying too much attention to HALO, and they didn't divulge on what they wanted to achieve or what they were planning. I think if there was as much a following of HALO: Combat Evolved as there was Destiny, people would've been complaining about how it was different to what they expected too. But that was a different time, and the way people think of games is different. And since then, BUNGIE built on HALO, and made amazing sequels and spinoffs. I have faith the Destiny series will be similar. And if not... well, I'm sure they'll be enjoyable nonetheless, and that's all that matters. Think about Killzone: Shadow Fall; it's dialogue and story flow was rather stale and/or flat (no, I haven't played it, I have watched playthroughs), but the gameplay looked fun, and I'd be quite happy to play it again, for the secondary fires if nothing else. I mean, sometimes I do get bored of the repetitiveness, so then I play another game, and then come back. BUNGIE's biggest flaw of this game was the over-hype that came before its release, I won't deny it. I was rather disappointed that the amount of explorable area was far below what they suggested, and the story not as long or vivid as expected. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the game, for popping Vex is tantalisingly satisfying. Sure, the grind for Legendary gear and Light will be long now, but I will get it done one way or another, and eventually I will join five others on a raid into the Vault of Glass. I enjoy the game, and others do to, and that's all that matters. TL;DR - If you don't like the game, don't play it. If you enjoy the game for what it is, don't complain about its failings. PS: Another gripe, Titans in the Crucible need balancing, they underperform compared to the other classes. Needs fixing. Supposedly. Maybe I just suck. Probably. Others say the same though, so, maybe Crucible needs balancing.

              • I was wondering if any of the members of Bungie constantly play Destiny like a regular gamer. Starting out like the rest of us at the first level and then rising up. What if they where amoung us, battling along side us and friending us, and we would never know. :D That would be soo cool.

              • This game is one of a kind. I like it, nothing of what i had expected it to be, playing the beta didnt give hardly the taste of what I got now. I see so many people complaining about never getting engram drops and whatnot and it taking forever to get past level 20. If it wasnt for these low drop rates and even if everyone got to max level within a day people would get bored of it within a few hours. These things keep the game interesting in the long run and keep it intense when doing strikes and pvp. I love it, there are games similar to it, but nothing like it. Ill have to say im here to stay for the long run... but then again i am a biased bungie fan <3

                • [b][/b]Hi Destiny is one of the Best games i every played, the story concept graphics and game play is great on a world class, level i went and bought the special editionon 360 xbox platform without any hestation,its amazing i cant wait to see what other planets and stories are addded and for the Dlc . map packs The game customization is great,. i would like to sayto Bungie / thank you for a great game,and just appricate all the time it took to make it,since the biginning from Hailo, Bungie have been outanding the Destiny comunty will continue to grow,and becoame somthing Really big...,its great thios also allows people to forge friendship,through the destiny community.it it focus on Gamers team effort tp pastr levels..for a long time their needed to be a Game as great as Destiny pople can enjoy at all age levels. well done Bungie...this is epic, you are are all apricated, thank you ice-elvis [b][/b]

                • I truly have loved destiny up to this point, the gun play is superb, the gameplay I love. I think the enemy has great AI, they hide in cover if you attack from a range, I really like these aspects, they make the story great. also the game looks, and sounds amazing! The number one complaint I have heard about this game is that the story is weak, and I couldn't disagree more, I think the people who dislike the story are just looking too short sighted. bungie has built wonderful mystery into this game, they have created so many great story lines left unexplored, and have left so many questions unanswered. some dislike this, but I think this was not just poor game making, but an intentional act, bungie wants this to be a ten year game, so they cant play out all the story right now, they're going to give it too us in small doses, like the most rewarding series of books, the ones where you have to read a lot to get to the answers you seek, but oh how sweet they are. this is how i think bungie is approaching the game, if we stick with them all of these awesome mysteries and unexplored story lines will be clear, and the reward for our persistence will be greater than we have every seen. this is the beginning, the part where they build up all the suspense and the sub-plots, the reward for all these rich intricacies will come later. what happened to the war mind rasputin? how did he survive and how has been fighting this entire time. how did the awoken survive in the reef, and what happened to all the people on those ships, did they die, or did some darker fate befall them WHO IS THE TRAVELER< WHERE DID IT COME FROM WHERE IS IT GOING WHO IS THE DARKNESS bungie WILL answer these, they have some experience in this field, we just need to trust them and be patient comment to let me know what YOU think on how bungie has handled this so far .

                • Destiny is really a great game. I enjoy the fact that it isn't like other mmo's. I got Level 24 day 3. Since then I am starting to believe I am the most unlucky player. My friends who just get 20 have gotten at least to legendary items. Me none. And in pvp I can hold my own if not be on top. Me and my friend both dominated a game a few min ago. Both 20+ kills. He gets and exotic and I get nothing. This happens consistently. I have to agree with some where it feels like maybe I am not as good of a player. Or I just have really bad luck. Other then that I enjoy the strikes, pvp, it all. Except the unluckiness of getting no gear.

                  • I am probably not the demographic that this game is aimed at. (40 something D&D geek and casual gamer) but I have to say that I am really impressed with this game. Very addictive, lots of fun, you can jump in and out of the game and play for 20 minutes or 3 hours, The bounty/quest system really works for me and I love stripped down story so you can just get stuck in. Lengthy cut scenes and mountains of lore to wade through can slow down and dull the experience of the game and when it looks as good as this.... Also the score/music is awesome. Well done. Don't f### it up😀

                    • i love the game. the only thing that im having a problem with is how hard loot is to come by. other people i play with are getting exotics and legendaries at the drop of a hat and all i get is greens. im a level 24 and i have spent time in the strikes,crucible,and patrols trying to find ways to find more loot. does anyone have any ideas on what im doing wrong. one other thing. i think their should be a higher chance of rewards for bosses. i dont get anything troughout the strike all i get is the glimmer boosts.

                        Nerf the hunters? -Golden gun -Knife spree thing (which they also have an extra shield for) -Invisibility (seems the lock should get this) -Blink While the locks have a super nova, blink, and some bs super that buffs my melee and grenades? The titans have a bubble shield, slam, super melee.. Its all pretty even except for the numerous op hunter abilities. Spread it out plz

                        • What the hell is up with the loot sytem been lvl 24 for about 5 days now... I do stikes crucible ect.. but in return still only get lvl 16 to 20 rare gear... an when I do get legendary engrams they break down to uncommon or rare gear.. come on ppl that do shity on most the shit get more legendary items then anyone iv seen... is it just me or is anyone els facing this problem
