I'm new to Bungie games and first person shooters on consoles in general. I didn't get a chance to play the Alpha or Beta.
So with that being said I was originally set on being a Hunter. But I'm starting to think that I should start with another class since I've never played an FPS on a console. I have played a little COD, Battlefield and BioShock on PC though. I get the basic mechanics and tactics of shooters but I feel like I'm going to struggle using a DualShock controller.
So what class do you think is best for a beginner? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

There really isn't. They're all balanced well. However, of you're getting used to a new controller and aren't sure of your accuracy to start, Titan probably had the lowest requiring accuracy of the bunch.

Warlock for sure man.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von geckorepublican: 9/1/2014 1:27:29 AMAll of the classes available are perfectly fine with beginners but since you've never used an analog stick before you might have trouble with accuracy and you need accuracy to make usage of the Hunter's super. I read some of the comments (not all) and I haven't seen anyone present this point. What I would recommend is starting with a Titan or maybe a Warlock; the reason being is that the Titan's super requires the least amount of accuracy. The Warlock does require more accuracy than the Titan but not more than the Hunter. Furthermore the Warlock and Titan's supers are both AoE when the Hunter requires precision. I would recommend you to try all 3 classes and get to level 5-10 with each of them, afterwards you should continue on with the one you feel most comfortable with. I used all 3 in the Beta and I'm not going to touch on the other 3 sub-classes because even though I know what they do I don't know how it feels to use their abilities and supers. I hoped this helped!

Hands down Titan. We call it EZ mode. It has the most armor, and an AoE Super that you can use with your TV off. Apparently they buffed the Warlock super, so that should be pretty noob friendly ass well.

Bearbeitet von sergeantawesome: 8/31/2014 11:57:30 PMI would say Titan, they seem to be the most forgiving of all the classes, but its not by much. All of them seem fairly well rounded. The Hunter's super power is an aimed one though, unlike the Titan and Warlock that you can just hit an area close and kill a bunch of bad guys.

any class you chose you can adapt to it relatively early so any

Ignore the people saying hunter since you will have a harder time than others. Titan is well equipped with armor and can help you absorb a few extra bullets giving you time to score a kill. Subclass wise; the first enemy you will encounter are arc weak meaning that a strike Titan will once again give you an upper hand earlier in the game. Their super is something that gradually grows with you as you level up. You can activate your support when surrounded/overwhelmed by enemies in order to clear your field. I 100% recommend you start with the Titan and then branch out to other classes. Let me know your decision.

It's the hunter because the golden gun is one shot one kill so if you have good accuracy you can kill with one shot but not on bosses
-
Hunter for PvP. That golden gun basically kills for you. Hodor.

Destiny isn't your typical game where each class is for a different difficulty setting. Each class plays differently, they are for play styles not difficulty. Honestly if you want to go hunter than start with a hunter. You will do better to learn what you want to play. If you think you won't be good at the throwing knife, practice. You will grow with your character as you learn and hopefully have a better connection. Stick with the one you want from the start. Your instincts are good, stick with them. And welcome to the community.

Hunter for sure.

3 AntwortenWarlock or titan, both have panic noob supers with large splash damage.

Choose whichever you want. If the playing style doesn't feel right, pick another class until you get it right.

Any class is fit for any player. Just pick the one that you think looks the coolest, and you'll be fine!

If you haven't played Halo, you might want to try out a Titan to have the "Master Chief" experience, then again this is a bungie game and the entire thing is much like Halo. A Warlock might be a challenging and rewarding class and a Hunter is definitely also a good choice.
-
If you're a close-quarters guy, go Titan. If you like being more agile, go Hunter. If you're absolutely insane and you dream of enveloping the world in fire, hire a psychiatrist and go Warlock.
-
Best class for beginning?!? Lol If you like the character play it cuz yall be it for along time lol
-
Dude there is no class too advanced for anyone. As a beginner u can pick.what u want and what ever your favorites are.
-
I would say that Warlock is an easy choice. Seems like a Warlocks abilities are bit more forgiving than the Hunter's Gunslinger sub, while Titan's Striker and Hunter's Bladedancer require proximity to enemies which might be lethal if you are not that good and finally Defender Titan subclass requires a bit more situational awareness and knowledge. These are based on observations in the Beta and reading the abilities/upgrades that were unavailable to use in it but could be browsed in the second subclasses.

Does not matter its all about play styles try them all to see which is most enjoyable

Titan or the Warlock, based on the following: Titans are beefier and can get shot more without dying. Lift is easy to use, and they are fairly standard as shooters go, but with a Destiny twist. Warlocks have the best recovery rate. You can get shot, take cover, and be ready faster. Their melee has the greatest range, and both Subclasses have moves you don't have to be close in to use.
-
Titan. Beginners get shot a lot, and Titans are bulkiest. Otherwise, they all handle guns the same, so...

Its easy enough to try them all within a few weeks. Its pretty balanced in overall ability. It comes down to how your playstyle begins to mesh with how the abilities come together under each class. It will just need to be figured out in the game.- -Didney
