I want some honest opinions and valid reasons to back it up. This is not a console war or flame bait by any means. All my friends picked up Destiny on PS4 and I'm thinking of trading off my XB1 to join them. But I need more than just Destiny to convince me. Thanks for your help in advance.

3 AntwortenDisclaimer: I presently own neither, though am buying white ps4 destiny bundle next month. I have had extensive time with both consoles though. I think both are excellent if we're talking about hardware. And both are shaping up to have a decent library of exclusives, though it's still early doors. Sony is showing a lot of love for indie developers, with Microsoft only finally getting in on the hot saucy indie game scene with some real enthusiasm at last. PS+ is a fantastic service. Gold is an ok service. The Dual Shock 4 is a good controller, though a little awkwardly designed. Extended play times won't give you cramps or anything, but you'll be readjusting the way you hold it A LOT as it can get just a little uncomfortable. The Xbone controller is absolutely amazing. Xbone is a home entertainment system that also plays videogames. Ps4 is a videogame console with some entertainment apps. PS4s got great and simple to use functions for sharing videos/screenshots/streams. I've not experimented with the Xbone's sharing functions, though I've heard good things. Overall, the choice for me came down to exclusives and the subscription differences. (Price is no longer a factor what with MS wising up and and doing an Xbone without Kinnect) They're both awesome, but Sony won it for me. Also, my best friends have gone PS4 too, and I want to play with them :p So if you're still having trouble picking - What do you want to play with your friends on? Hope this was helpful.

Ask yourself this question what do your friend have and there is your answer

If you hate seeing finger prints on it. I know it isn't a big deal to most people but my friend it drives him crazy when thee is finger prints on his ps4

The best difference is the wee bit extra smoothness and extravagant lighting effects of the PS4; Which if you ask me is what a next gen console is suppose to be. Xbox is still trying to cloud everybody, so that's where the one is going, more *their data your money.
-
Yes. If you just take the hard facts.
-
I have the 360 and the xbox one... Honestly, if your friends are going the PS4 route, then go that route if the money isn't an issue. If your friends are local, I would suggest going over there house for a few gaming sessions to try out the PS4 to give you a better idea of what your getting. "Go where your friends are!" You will be happier in the end. It doesn't really matter what system is really "better".
-
Look up both, compare the specs, hold the controllers. When you figure out which one feels better. Then you will know. For the most part they are the same. Games that are on both systems will look close to the same. The PS4 will have better graphics for PS4 only games if they program it to take advantage of the hardware.

It really matters about Pp (personal preference). But if you wanna know, yes destiny will be the better deal on ps4, but ehh who cares?

5 Antwortenand on the gaming specific front.. Sony seems to be beating Microsoft to the punch on new features/innovation/update... they dropped pre loading first, and they already dropped a beta for stream/game rentals, (don't be silly enough to think microsoft isn't cranking this out as fast as they can) and they've already reached the stage for share play that they can announce it and it's scheduled for fall update.. (again don't be naive and think microsoft wont follow suit) so in the long run the features will likely pan out and be very very similar (on the gaming side) but if you're all about the first one on the field.. currently Sony is claiming that title.

7 AntwortenIt's all down to preference, but anyone trying to say psn is better than live is just an idiot.
-
Yes just flat out yes....this year anyways. Last year Xbox was #1

PS4 has better exclusives and overall feels better. PSN goes haywire way too much though. This is simply my opinion *raises flame shield*

You can always make new friends.... or make ur friends regret not getting the one!!!

3 AntwortenThere is only three things I can say that sway my opinion why PS4 is better. (Please keep in mind I am in the same situation as you not owning either at this moment, but I have owned every system from each company to this point) 1. PS4 does not require you to pay monthly for online game play. 2. Two of my Xbox 360s overheated, and the third had issues with the laser forcing me to take it apart and fix the drive. 3. While the Xbox has the cable run through allowing you to watch Tv while playing games(a feature I wish PS4 had) the system seems to be focused on more than gaming where PS4 is dedicated more to games. This being said both systems will as usual rely on game quality and game innovations developed by the game creators not the system. That means they will both play the same games except for exclusives. A side note: I am also looking forward to remote play ability of the PsVita. This might not effect Destiny but I will play other games.

yeah I'd agree that's it's 0.5 - 1.0 out of 10 better.. and thats only if your focus is specifically more on gaming versus the all around media concept. if you're all about the media integration then it might not even be the lesser choice considering what it does with tv. gaming, it has the raw power edge and an all around architecture more focused on gaming.

You kids are so funny. http://youtu.be/w-5farzJoz8

If it was a comparison Ps4 would be 0.5 better. (E.g XB 8/10 - PS4 8.5/10) Its better but really it just doesn't matter.

Ya pretty much:/

1 AntwortenMake it easier on yourself. Keep the Xbox One and buy a PS4 to play Destiny with your friends. Neither console is better than the other. We can say the same things about Xbox One and PS4 that we did about Xbox 360 and PS3. In the end, it's all about the games and the people playing with you.
-
I own both. They are pretty much the same thing. The biggest deciding factors should be which console is dominated by friends and which flavor of exclusives you prefer. Everything else is secondary. I prefer the PS4 because I know more people on it so I will have a better time with multiplayer titles. If you are a spec junkie then go for the PS4. If you want something that can do everything pretty damn well, go for the XB. (This portion is contingent on you having no friends and not caring about exclusives).

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von salvucci91: 8/25/2014 6:43:30 AMWhile Sony and Microsoft are both big, greedy companies in the end, Microsoft's attitude towards their customers has been unbelievable. This was enough for me to go with PS4 as my primary console, as well as the fact that all of my friends are on there; I literally know no one who owns an Xbox One. I won't be a turd and say I'll never eventually play out the rest of the Halo series, but I absolutely won't pay for that Kinect, and until I'm able to take advantage of a massive discount or price drop.

4 AntwortenTruly ps4 is better. I would not like the face that my controller will run on batters and then buy a $30 battery so I will say $499 tax $530 plus $30 That $560 that's a lot of money my friend so just go sony bro you will be better off in the end.

Bearbeitet von skyrida: 8/25/2014 7:48:59 AMLook at it this way, the game stared as a ps3/x360 project... And announced back when it was. Suddenly ps4 and x1 news started and I guess bungie started working with Sony for the ps controller and that's when they picked up ps4 and x1 which would be probably a few years. So I'd say it's a more protien grams for your bucks but definitely nothing compared to a steroid boost is my best guess. My point being ps3 is still selling for even half of what it used to cost, and gonna be supporting destiny, plus u get free access to online besides a few proteins what more do you need? Or if you rather have next gen, xbox is looking to sell itself out to the highest bidder even thought its microsofts more revenue generating deal. While sony on the other hand is getting geared up for uncharted and more demanding projects like Morpheus up to you. Personally I'm still with my ps3 and waiting till they support backwards compatable games disc and ps store purchases to be paying no tricks like ps tv or subscriptions. Straight up get the game u owned and still get to play it type deal or I'll stick with ps3 and the bundles of things I've invested in already till they die out of existence. With that said a bigger point is. #Free My show Bungie Theatre, gimmie more.
