...everyone mindlessly agrees with everything Bungie does? I mean before they announced the wipe the majority of people wanted the characters to stay. They announced the wipe and now the majority thinks that's wonderful. The majority of people wanted private games until Bungie said they weren't in the game. Now the majority agrees with that. The majority of people thought that there would be more than 4 zones but once Bungie confirmed that there were only 4, the majority thought that was enough. Can anyone here think for themselves, or will you be pushed around by a company? I am not making the things I have said up either; all of this comes from viewing numerous polls prior to and after all of these things were announced. So does anyone here care to elaborate?
Edit: Just to clarify I am not saying I didn't want to have a wipe, wanted private matches or wanted more than 4 zones. This thread is not about my opinions, it's about why the majority of people here change theirs just based on what Bungie decides to do.

Bungie never confirmed how many zones there were. That aside It's probably because Bungie actually knows what they are doing. Most people who are upset are just upset because they don't understand imo. Once bungie explains why it's not so upsetting.

Bearbeitet von NinjaCoby: 8/17/2014 3:56:11 PMI won't complain about a game that I am not making and you should respect that its Bungie's choice of what they want to do and whats in their game. I believe everything they have decided is fine and see nothing wrong with it.
-
I agree completely.

You must be new to game forums, welcome to the Bungie.net #Destiny forums.

This game looks brilliant but I would change/tweak some this.
-
I think that the majority of people just realized that some things just won't be changed and there is no use complaining. I mean I wanted to have my Beta carry over as well as private matches, but I'm not bitching because one: it's not game breaking and two: Bungie isn't going to change it. I have yet to see legit conformation about there only being four zones.
-
Bungie has rarely disappointed me, despite what most people think, they do actually know what they're doing. Would I like more? Hell yeah I would! However what we have already has nearly rendered every other game for me almost impotent. As for private matches, do you mind linking your source? I can't say I have seen an official, "No we will not have private matches" yet.
-
I think bungie/Activision owns the game and can do whatever they want with it. If they don't do something you want done, don't play or weigh all the pros and cons to make a decision about playing the game that makes you happy. Ya know, like a learned human being. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, just my general opinion.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von LunarSpy: 8/17/2014 2:29:48 PMI may not agree with everything Bungie does for their games, but I am also not the one who is writing the story, modeling, rigging, and texturing the characters, animating them as well, building the engine, creating the maps, and putting this all together over several years. I don't think raging and arguing about what the Developers of the game will make them want to change anything. Besides, we can't really change anything about this game at all. All we can do is express our opinion and hope bungie will listen. For example: I was looking forward to doing clan matches and playing in private lobbies. However, Bungie stated that there won't be any private lobbies. Sadly, I cannot change that myself. So there is no sense in me getting upset or worrying about something I cannot change. What I can do is express that I would really like to see it added into the game at a later time and hope for the best. Words spoken calmly are easier to understand than word screamed into your ear. EDIT One more thing I forgot to add. If you don't like where the game is going, then don't waste you money.

I dont think that is what the majority thinks. People just seem to speak up more when they agree with something it seems!
-
I look at the brighter side of things but I've never said I liked it the things bungie did
-
I wanted a wipe.
-
Your statement is flawed I seen polls that said one think and polls the say another so I don't think you can base your information off of a few articles here and there I've seen polls for each side of said majority on all subject

the Majority wanted their characters to stay? you mean a few posts on this forum? most people fully expected a wipe as that is how it is with betas they just didn't need to go around posting repeated forum posts about it. As for the 4 zones, this is a 10 year game, i would imagine more zones will become available in the future - however just going by numbers isnt the only thing, how big are each of the areas? how much is there to do in them? Bungie could of had 50 zones like Vanilla WoW, but i spent most of my time in only a few of the 50. or Planetside 2, has 3 continents, but much of the space is empty and desolate as the fighting all takes place in the areas close to outposts. Of what we had in the beta i clocked over 25 hours much of it in exploration mode and never though this is boring or too small, dont get me wrong i would like more space to play in, but seeing as we haven't even played on the other planets all the complaints are based on a limited beta

I played the beta, and enjoyed it

Bungie made halo. I love halo. Halo is a great series. Therefore I trust Bungie.

Well, I always wanted a wipe, always wanted but never expected private matches, and always wanted but didn't really expect/didn't think it was worth complaining about only 4 zones. It's not that expressing a different opinion is bad, but the way it is on this forum, there's so much hate it makes you side with Bungie just because you want no part in it.
-
I always wanted a wipe, didn't ever care about private matches. I never got my hopes up on the size of explorable zones so I didn't get too disappointed but was still bummed. Especially when the concept art had cooler places like Europa and the Mumbai push. Proximity chat is still what bothers me the most but I'm hopeful bungie will listen and add it in
-
Where are you getting the majority numbers. If anything on all threads on these topics it was split all the time with both opinions and it still is.
-
In all the threads i have seen on all of these topics the majority vote was the opposite of what your saying before and after bungie made any decisions. now im not saying your a lier im just saying maybe we were looking at different threads. i saw a thread that was a petition to get private games after bungie had announced that they werent adding it, yes had over 4000 votes and no had over 2000 votes now im not saying your a lier im just saying i have been looking at the wrong threads because im all for what ever bungie is doing its their game maybe if i was making a video game i would make it exactly the way i wanted it but since its not my game im just going to let bungie make it the way they want it

Sorry it's kinda lengthy, but I tried to give a thorough answer as short as I could make it. This is a little bit too serious to say Bungie is the ones pushing us around. They seem like a pretty easy-going, humble company of game developers. I'm pretty happy with Bungie and all they have done so far. Look at the position they are in. They only answered the questions they were asked, and a lot of hate came from that from some fans. We can't really get mad now that there isn't much they can do before release. The way the game is now is based off the decisions they made months before while actually creating the game, before we even got to see it. They can't really change a whole lot about their game they spent years making now with only less than a month before launch as well as working longer to transfer everyone's gaurdians. How can we expect that of them? I may not personally love all of their choices, but I can learn to be happy with what is already here, Destiny is still a great game in my opinion. At the end of the day we're all just players, and it's all just a game. It's not a big deal to compromise, and that does not mean becoming a conformist of Bungie's decisions. There's a difference in being stubborn in your beliefs and standing up for what you believe in when it is worth defending. Learning to know when to accept certain things is okay. Maybe after launch when Bungie has time to work on additional content, some of the things we all hoped for can be added later, but this is not the time for making edits to a game that should be ready to release.

Bearbeitet von Q Lynx: 8/17/2014 2:28:48 AMYou are way off base here. The people didn't change their minds. The factor that changed was what information was confirmed and what information was speculation . The polls you saw prior to confirmation of information were wishful thinking, as were stated at the time. Nobody knew the wipe was confirmed until Bungie said it was confirmed. Nobody knew there weren't custom games until Bungie confirmed there were not. Anything you saw prior to confirmation was based on speculation, therefore was, as I said, wishful thinking. There is a difference between me asking you if you want your characters to be wiped, or are you fine with the wipe I just told you is confirmed. Time and information are the variables that make it appear to you that people have changed their minds, not brainwashing.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kilo: 8/17/2014 2:30:26 AMI stand by my opinion. I was expecting our beta characters to be wiped so I didn't care when they announced they would be. Lack of private matches is a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker. It just means no halo style custom games. As far as explorable areas, I though it was bigger than expected. I stayed away from all the open world speculation so my expectations remained reasonable.

Bungie is love, bungie is life

2 AntwortenIt's like this we bend or we break. We adapt so we can get our heads around it. The Truth is Bungie Gave us the Beta to test overload. Bungie gave us the beta to test how we would play under different condisions. Bungie has not taken anything we wanted out of the game. Bungie has not added anything people have requested. Bungie dose not care for our feelings at all. There a company as long as we pay the big backs that tells Bungie everything is very good. DeeJ is The Voice of Bungie but that the extent of his power voice only. That's how I understand everything.
