-No proximity chat
-Only 3 player raids(lol fail)
-No private games
-No 8v8 multiplayer modes
-Tower only allows 16 players
I don't understand Bungie, they're usually all about making a game the best it can be but they left so much out. I'm very disappointed.

But what about dem dance parties at the tower doe

4 Antworten-I wish proximity chat was a thing. As long as there was a "Mute" option, then it should be fine. Halo 3 and Reach had a Mute feature, so it's not like Bungie doesn't know how to implement it. -Strikes are 3 player. Raids are 6 player. -I'm sad about no private games, since that's what extended the life of Halo 2 & 3. Endless gametype customization and hours of just screwing around with friends having fun. I don't give a shit about all the MLG talk, I only care about how that effects playing with friends. -6v6 seemed to fit the maps in the beta, and I kind of wish there was a "Big Team Battle"-type playlist. -(interesting that 16 players=8v8 match) I would have liked the idea of more people in the Tower area. Up to 24 would have been nice. More people to talk to (and have epic dance parties with) inb4 people blame Xbox 360 and PS3 for holding the game back

5 AntwortenFirst of all, the game isn't even released yet, and I'm sure we have many patches to come, where much more content/features will be added and improved on. Proximity chat, I'm going to assume you want a voice proximity chat, which would be an absolutely terrible idea, I don't want to hear everyone I come across in Explore, or people raging in crucible. However, a proximity/area based TEXT chat, even fireteams with their own chat boxes, that would be a great idea. Of course though, they'd need to add in some kind of spam filter, and obviously a way to mute/ignore people. ANd the chat box would need to be completely optional to have on screen, maybe even only come up when you have your Ghost up. Private matches are likely to be added in later. As of right now, it's fine just being able to go into the crucible with a few friends, and fight with, and along side, randoms. It's not great, surely, but it's still SOMETHING. More than 3 people for what I assume you mean to call Strikes, would be over kill on the AI. Raids have 6 people though, and supposedly are far more difficult than Strikes. So, I think that's fine. Those are the only points I really saw worth replying to... Everything else was just derped.

5 AntwortenNo proximity chat: Thanks Bungie. Only a 3 man fire team: Fire Team a small 3 man squad first developed by the US Marines. No private games: Good it keeps the game from becoming segregated. No 8vs8: 6vs6 as in two Fire Teams vs two Fire Teams.

1 AntwortenThe most social antisocial game ever
-
I have to disagree. I've had the same 20 players in my friends list for the last 3 years. The game isn't even out yet and I've added 6 new players just from the forums alone. It is a social game, just not in the traditional way you're thinking of. You have to put a little more work into it.
-Only 3 player raids(lol fail)
?

Strikes are 3 players, raids are 6

5 AntwortenHonestly it'd be nice if there was a global text chat. Or at least some way for solo players out there to get the message out they are looking for other people in the game.
-
2 AntwortenMaybe I don't want to be social. Maybe I play games because I'm antisocial

Bearbeitet von Damon: 8/17/2014 12:59:56 PMI look at it this way, I first thought Destiny was a single player FPS that was a spiritual successor to Halo. Didn't think you could play with anyone else and didn't know it would have PVP and I was very excited over a year ago. Anything else has just been a bonus.

It's 3 player strikes not raids
-
I think your post just proves why proximity chat would not be a good idea. I don't want to hear what you think or have to say just because you are in this community but you can say anything you want. Thanks mute button.

1 AntwortenDo you have any idea how hard it is to make proximty chat work? Even if it was easy to do, you want to deal with the 13 year old kids who follow you around with their racial slurs, and how they banged your mom? Listen I have the ability to voice chat with anyone I want by inviting them to my party. simple, easy, done. The only thing they could add would be a global chat window. Maybe with a couple channels like gen chat and LFG chat and whisper(aka private chat)

Bearbeitet von Mandingo: 8/16/2014 9:27:14 PMand people compare this game to an MMO oh well... it is a good game for all those Anti Social who are scared of every one with a microphone. Yet no Matchmaking for Raids and people are happy about it... ROFLMAOWTF

Bearbeitet von DEZARATH: 8/16/2014 6:09:00 PMIt's all up to you. Even though their prior party game eventually shut down mic usage by providing a venue for player toxicity and harassment for years.

it's a social game when you make it social. That is the beauty of it. It plays like a single player game until you decide you want to play with others.
-
Bungie hasnt made a good social game since Halo 3
-
1 Antworten3 player raids. I personally prefer to call them strikes
-
3 AntwortenRule of Video Game Design: Some people thing being able to play with friends and strangers makes a game "social" when, in fact, you must be able to verbally communicate, shoot at, or generally interact with no less than TWENTY-FIVE human beings at a time in order for a game to be considered "social". I hear you say, "But what if Bungie doubled the PvP games to 12v12 matches?" No sir, buckaroo, that's only TWENTY-FOUR people! Der! Destiny has one hope of being social, ever: add global voicechat that is auto-joined every time you open the game.

6 player raids :)

Let's wait and are the full game before were disappointed. Jeez they should have just announced destiny on September 8th of this year ...
