Might already be a thread, I dont care. This is more about me talking about a game i've had in my dreams for years now. Lets bounce the ideas off eachother and see what new things people might bring to the table.
Anyway, the game would be called Gunslinger (Or something cool like Fatal Chamber idk) .... We're looking at an MMO FPSRPG (I swear this isnt a rip off Destiny I had this idea years ago).
The thing that would set this game apart is that you will have the option to pick a highly stylized gun and make it YOUR gun. You would start out with maybe a revolver type and through playing the game you would eventually stumble onto PARTS, not new guns as much, but rather special parts for your gun (rares, uncommons, that whole thing) and these parts would do certain things and would be highly varietal in order to help make your gun exactly how you want (within the reasonable limitations). You could of course earn money through the points system to purchase a different gun, but there would balance systems in play and limits that make any gun as potentially good as any other. It all sounds familiar but in my head i'm thinking you have a basic pistol yeah? And throughout the course of play if you chose, that pistol would become so unique to your play style that you could customize its overall appearance, even its name. And people could see your gun and say "shit thats an awesome gun".
The details on that are still blurry, the main separation in this game is that the multiplayer "maps" would all exist in a free roam environment. Thats right. Im thinking no loading screen or match making. This game in my head has what I wanted to call never-ending matches. A person could feasibly stay in one of these "fire zones" forever and fight till their hearts content. The more time you spend inside a zone, the less exp you will earn (a cooldown type thing, youd have to leave and play the game and come back to get the full exp again for kills and things.)
Basically the run down in my head was this. [Freeroam Zone] >>> [Nuetral Zone] (loading area in between the free roam and fire zone) >>> [Fire Zone]. Loot and exploration would take place in the freeroam, even open space PVP killing based on accepted duel invites and stuff. Then the neutral zone, a space where the loading for the map takes place, no killing happens. Think of like how Bioshock would stroll you through these areas while it was loading the next section. Very aesthetic, no real interaction type content, but sort of a hallway or tunnel leading you into the arena. Like walking into the startings of a demolished city, and in the center there is a Fire Zone. Once in the Fire Zone you are granted 5 seconds of invincibility to prevent "spawn killing" and give you a chance to find your footing. From there, you whip out the old revolver and get to work. You'd be free to leave on your own accord whenever you wanted, and could stay and fight for as long as you wanted.
It would all be server based rather than individual match instances so there wouldnt be a strain on finding a team or searching for players to fill a quota in order to begin a round.
Anyway, thats the starting of the idea I had, think an expansive game like Fallout 3 but with little areas of PVP concentrated madness.

I call it Dawn Its about a war thats been going for 20 years and Earth had to get help from other planets. They face these aliens that have a population the size of 2 whole planets. It involves trench warfare and other kinds of landscapes. Every single alien (from the bad side)on those planets fights.

I had an idea that involved a black hole on a collision course with earth while a world war type thing was happening. either work together and escape or accept the same fate as earth. or a arkham like game for green arrow. similar controls but you have limited amount of trick arrows also the ability to go back to the arrow cave and make new arrows.
