Will it beat CoD? Without a doubt. But it won't beat Halo. Nor do I want it to. If anything it's gonna be as big as Halo. Girlfriends will be complaining about their boyfriends being on Destiny too much.

I never thought Call of Duty would overtake Halo, either, it had been on top for years. COD's time is nearing its end, and while Activision is taking steps to try and keep it going there's really no avoiding its inevitable demise at this point. Declining sales, evaporating excitement, failing to bring in new players, this series is headed for the pasture. I'm actually impressed/frightened by Activision, their money maker was dying and they actually managed to get a new one before the previous one died. Of course they also have WoW and Skylanders, so they will be sleeping on beds of money for quite some time.

2 Antworten4.7 million people played the beta. I would bet (especially if Destiny does get a PC release) that it outsells CoD. If it doesn't, expect it to top the charts at least for most online activity. (I mean c'mon, Minecraft has beat out CoD every time it releases a title update!)

I'm thinking in the Xbox One Department, Halo MCC will reign. If the boom of indie games has taught me anything, its that despite all the stat comparing, most of us will still play SMB3 just because its a good game, and that graphics are only a big deal for AAA titles.

Each CoD iteration since Blops2(citation needed) has been declining in sales compared to its predecessor. Still sells a -blam!-ton tho.
