I don't think it will. Call of duty has been on top for years.

We can all agree that activision wins this year. Destiny and advanced warfare will top the charts and activision will have all the money.

Call of duty ruined the franchise with all the in game purchases and even if you had the season pass you got none of them. Seriously? Why should I spend $50 to get a season pass and have to spend extra money to get extra custom slots or different camos ect. They are ruining themselves with how greedy they are and how money hungry they are.

6 AntwortenEveryone is tired of cod now. Every game is the same: Shoot the enemies repeatedly, Find the leader, Almost die, Kill him. World at war was the best in my opinion, but cod is just so boring now. I like battlefield so much more.

Bearbeitet von V3RONiCAPR: 8/3/2014 9:48:47 PMHow do you want to compare Call of Duty with Destiny? I have played Call of Duty since COD 4, the last one was Black Ops and all I have to say that I don't want to buy any COD because every year when a new cod shows up, all that change is maps, its the same again and again and again.. Now if we talk Cod vs. Battlefield

Why didn't you post this in #Density for maximum butthurt? Or was it moved?

Have been playing CoD since CoD2 on PC , switched to xbox when MW4 and loved them all despite the hate, up until ghosts. Really? What the -blam!- was Ghosts if not an utter disappointment? Will base my purchase on the new one on reviews.

Oh. Okay. So interesting.
-
How the -blam!- did you manage to get 480 replies on this?
-
Did you look into your crystal ball to find that out?

9 AntwortenYou're not wrong. It literally takes no skill to pick up and play COD. Its designed for lazy gamers who really don't want much of a challenge. Destiny is for gamers who want more and expect more from their experience. I don't care if it's bigger, it won't make it any less successful.

5 AntwortenHalo is better than cod. Most of the XBOX gaming community will agree. Before you post something try not being 10 it tends to help
-
But it still hasn't managed to use a different engine since cod 4 came out, what is it like cod 11 now!
-
2 AntwortenDestiny had the most beta players ever recorded in the last decade. Over 4.6 million unique players played the beta. Just imagine the final game.
-
Considering it had more consecutive players on it than any other game in history.. I beg to differ

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Koldraxon: 8/2/2014 2:46:04 PMBe surprised. It's being sold to all four consoles. It's going to get a fairly large amount of fans. Xpacs might be released to expand game. Xpacs will make the game last, despite an MMO feel there. It isn't an MMO, but uses some features from it.
I can understand how you feel it'd collapse, but look at Halo 4.

Halo 4 was incomplete, but the campaign had some solid ground, being a good continuity despite requiring off-site sources (books, Halowiki, terminals, etc...) to identify Shadow of Sundered Stars (Ur-Didact, corrupted by Flood) and the fact that he's -not- dead (immune to Composer; 6 months to prepare escape from Requiem). It did try, but it missed fundamentals, as if 343I tried to remake Halo 1. They managed, but tried too hard.
As far as I can tell, COD might be slowly trying to Sci-Fi-ify itself, but is taking lots of damage in redesigning itself to cater for a large shooter audience, which by then, Halo would have joined Steam and Garry's Mod would have Ur-Didact and Promethean models....
Anyway, enough of my blank-ended speculation, Halo 4 lasted a few months, then starved to death. COD... I don't mind. Halo Reach? Lives. Destiny? With a few minor edits, proximity-audio-comms, and a few refinements (armor customization, etc...), it would continue to be.

I agree. Call of Duty games are like the stupid summer blockbuster, action, popcorn flick of the games industry. Everyone buys them and everyone thinks they are pretty dumb but, for the most part fun. Eventually people move on but a few hardcore a-hole fans stick around for a year or 5. Looking at you MW2.

3 AntwortenCall duty sucks has bin for the last twin games they look like they will redeem themselves with this next one but people are look for the next nig thing which is destiny $$$$$$ call of duty will allways have there loyal customers thou but will neveratcj to destiny

2 Antworten
Call of duty has been on top for years.
Same as Halo which is now Destiny

4 AntwortenGoing from black ops 2 to ghosts, the units sold dropped by around 10 million, it may still get a huge amount of sales but people are realising with each new game it's nothing new. So trying to say a game that hasn't been released yet but has massive hype and excitement surrounding it, can't out do a game that just recycles content and is on the way down instead of up is absolutely bull****. Also can you cod fanboys please just stay off the forums if your going to post pointless stuff like this. It's like a really whinny spoilt kid in a toy shop, everyone just wants you to shut the hell up!

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Skank: 8/3/2014 1:52:10 AMAs a younger gamer who started with cod, I'd imagine cod will fade in comparison to destiny. Like how Deej started throwing numbers in our face, 4.6 million people played this game. Regardless of it being free or not, that's a shit load of players. On average, since Xmas, ghosts has had 30k people online at any given time. Destiny had 800k people. If those numbers aren't enough then idk what's going to convince the cod fanboys. Cod isn't even that good in the first place.

By far the dumbest comparrison ive ever seen

The Destiny beta has proved cod is dead, 850,000 people playing at the same time on the 26th. I haven't seen the cod population that high since black ops 1. Plus it had over 4 million people in the beta alone.....yeah I'd say it's beat cod by a long shot
