Matchmaking would be full of horrible rage quitting players. People would get frustrated with it and come on here anyways to make a forum post looking for good players to raid with. Matchmaking would be nice, but realistically, it would be torture.

I agree 100% adding some kind of group finder match making mechanic for raids to any game is a stupid idea. You don't know what you are getting in the group. Every time I have done a raid in WoW with Raid Finder, I have run into at least one troll per run. I also completed Hard Mode Ops in SWTOR, before completing the SM version if I didn't do the SM with my guild.

If that's the case they should go find some friends to do it with. No one is forcing anyone to use the matchmaking. You should be expecting to fail if you use it. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed

Was only trying to make the point that people who used it would eventually come on here anyways making topics, or posting in other people's topics, looking for better raid players.

Even in the strike mission in the beta I had to deal with rage quitters

I had one rage quitter, funny thing was he was the worst player out of the three of us. I rezzed him far more times than he rezzed either one of us. I was on my Hunter, he was a Warlock and 2 levels higher than me. I out DPSed him, killed 2x as many MOBs as him, and I would say that I died half as many times as he did.

Exactly! When going into a raid, you need to have a certain mind set. Raids aren't just something casual, they are serious. Best to have ppl you handpicked and if you personally know them, all the better.
