UPDATE: Bungie has responded to the fans with PROOF that there is only one explorable zone per planet!
That's right folks, Deej has confirmed that there is only one explorable zone per planet on release.
I don't know about you, but for me this is disappointing. I feel this way, because Bungie hyped it up and made it seem a lot bigger then it is.
Remember the video where they said "everything you see here is explorable?" They were looking out at the mountains and all the wrecked cars that seemed to go on for miles. Well it turns out that was all a big lie, and I don't know how it took me this long to realize it.
How do you guys feel about this?

That's funny because they said that even with all the players exploring in the beta, old Russia still wasn't fully explored.
-
Don't care in the slightest. Last I checked, there was a fair amount of locations in Old Russia that were locked off, so be didn't even see the full extent of Earth. And the moon map was -blam!-ing huge, I spent an hour exploring that place, and only stopped cause I had work, other wise I would have kept going for a couple hours. We still have the rest of those of those planets to explore, not to mention Mars The reef and Venus.
-
You do realize that he said that they've revealed everything for the FIRST VERSION of the game which means there is more coming.
-
You know how on the Moon mission it wasn't an explorable area, but you could still explore either way? They may do that for the other planets, even if it's not technically an explorable zone mission.
-
It's funny how people still uses that Twitch broadcast as proof when the question Deej was asked was no more clearer than the answer he gave.

4 AntwortenApparently this is a screenshot from the game, where do you think it could be?

Destiny hugeness comes not from infinite amount of boring barren lands to go around exploring but from the time you will be playing it. And with equip lvl up and raids you are sure to put in a shitload of h in this game. You can either cry to nothing or get on board and stop whining. In 3 month and supposedly each 3 month after that we'll get more content, more raids, more to play with. So yes, destiny IS huge

You should have figured out that that one "zone" is absolutely massive, in fact, so big, that you could barely explore HALF of old russia in the beta because bungie didnt want you to see anymore because the game hasnt came out yet. The game may have only one zone to explore, but its an absolutely massive playable world, which had a lot of time spent making an awesome playable world for the players. Im just sharing my facts and thoughts. Dont get mad just because im sharing my thoughts. If you agree however, please comment back and share your thoughts.

50 AntwortenI'm thinking of cancelling my pre-order because we've been lured on by false information(Lies). Without doubt the beta was exceptional, no arguments from me, now having said that, correct me if I'm wrong but they said "you could explore everything you could see from mountains to abandoned space crafts".... yet now where been told there's only one explorable area per planet, that in itself is false advertising correct?!?....... You can't even fly the ships you buy from the tower so how do we explore abandoned space crafts?!? I personally think a lot of people will still purchase the full game(SHEEP) but they will lose just ad must because of the facts above. Dear bungie sort it out!

It's one ZONE you know how many areas can be in one zone?

9 AntwortenDoes this mean your going to cancel your pre-order? Yesss!!!!??!

3 AntwortenDLC is the word. The game isnt even out yet and 2 Dlcs have already been announced and one Dlc already has a release date. I am confident there will be extra areas per planet to explore within a short period of time. Old Chicago and whatnot will be playable soon.
-
did you say adorable planets?

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Grombrindal: 8/13/2014 5:12:41 PMI don't care, the map's big enough as it is. We get to explore planet after planet, and zone after zone with any number of secrets and underground caves. It'll still take you days to explore it all.
-
3 AntwortenI CALL BS!. There is Old Russia And The Tower. Both on Earth. Debunked!
-
1 AntwortenBungie lied and fukced us over big time! Lieing asshats! Heres art on old Chicago! More lies! Anything else Bungie!!!?? Ya we r fukcing out of Raids too? All right got any fukcen lube while youre at it ?!?!

1 AntwortenI'm sure this has been said somewhere in the hundreds of replys but while exploring the beta there were some areas blocked by ?? enemies so there's still somethings we haven't seen. I alone got past about 300ft in game before getting one shot killed by a tiny dreg. Also in the Devil's Lair in the beta I found one area blocked off so there may be a time when we have to return there after that mission but go to a completely different (and now) open area. Even at the spot with the 3 laser walls that the ghost takes down, I followed the glowing tunnel only to die at a certain point before the end. Like most said it's just a beta so of course you won't get everything and even at the first level it'd be bad to reveal all.
-
I guess it's a little sad, But I'm sure they'll have other stuff to make the community happy
-
Fine with this.
-
They might of cut some of the extra areas to repackage as dlc it sucks if they did but i can understand from a buissness point of view
-
I wouldn't exactly call it proof since he mentions "this version of the game". Now, that can't mean destiny 2, because that's a new game entirely, this would only logically suggest that there will be updates/dlc's adding new stuff, such as areas, like old Chicago, or European dead zone, or mombai push (that was probably spelled incorrectly).

this isnt that big surprise, reading and following the news this was about 80% certain that there would be 1 zone for free roaming. "you could explore everything you could see from mountains to abandoned space crafts".. there will be always boundaries in the game, dont expect that the invisible walls would disapear. but they should change the warnings, go back radio active zone of something in that kind. just return with countdown is so strange, or the sea should be deep at a point so you should drown standing on a wall an doing one step you have to return, just make a fancy electric shield around it. from my background for love of rpg adventure games i didnt expect a same kind of open world, for a FPS game i wouldnt expect that. to the point: its just comes to your expectation of the game, did you self create a hype to see an exceptional game, or are you just be realistic?
