blatant skyrim rip off
Doesn't take much to figure out how badly bungie are trying to mimic Bethesda.
Warlock = mage
Titan = warrior
Hunter = thief
The awoken bare an uncanny resemblance to the dark elves and as posted in another thread, there's even talk of the 9 divines.
To make skyrim the same as destiny all I have to do is add the dwarven guns mod.

Ahuh, yeah, it's not like those have never existed before... The whole Warrior, Mage, Thief/Rogue thing has been around since D&D m8 Awoken also have an uncanny resemblance to the creatures from the film Avatar! (Back on topic, Dark Elves have been looking like that for ages, back since D&D.) 9 Divines have been a common mythos, it's easy to use and both short enough to remember while being big enough to have a complex "history of the gods". Besides, I see no usage of anything remotely similar in terms of leveling, crafting and whatnot that isn't also somehow related to a long used inspiring classic. If anything, The Elder Scrolls in it's entirety is a cheap knockoff of Dungeons and Dragons.

You make it sound like Bethesda was the original creater of such concepts. So to say that Bungie is ripping off Bethesda is flat out foolish. Edit: Also, with the Hunter class having 0 theft related skills it would fall under the category of Archer not Thief. Just saying.

Not to target you but how many people talk about Skyrim on these forums? Are people just now realizing Skyrim came out and been sitting in the stores for nearly 3 years... I love Skyrim but wow, so many people on these forums just now decided to get it. All I have to say is that you all have been missing out for almost 3 years.

8 AntwortenFirst of all, you're obviously not a true Elder Scrolls fan if you only think about Skyrim. Also, your points don't even make sense, if you think the Awoken are a rip off of the Dunmer, then how is the Elder Scrolls series, if not any other fantasy game with races, a "blatant" rip-off of original Dungeons & Dragons? This also goes along with the class system, and the classes in Destiny don't even remotely play like those in traditional fantasy. You don't have to use a sniper rifle and sneak around as a Hunter, just like you don't have to use pure magic attacks as a Warlock (and you can't). It irritates me when people compare games, especially since Skyrim came out, because all you newfags think Skyrim is the only Elder Scrolls game, hell, the only fantasy game with elves. Don't act like you know what you're talking about when you clearly don't, it makes you look like a tool.
