I'm embarrassed to be a part of this
I'm beginning to feel embarrassed to be a part of this community. I know there are A LOT of great people here, but the collection of entitled, complaining, ignorant brats is growing by the hour.
First of all, your complaints are invalid. Almost no matter what they are, they're invalid. Bungie giving us not one but TWO sneak peeks at their game for free should be viewed as nothing but awesome. The growing sound of moaning and groaning about specifics in the game, Bungie's selection of content for the beta, whether or not our items will carry over, etc. is just absurd. Does it really matter if our content will carry over? We've played for less than two weeks and we're already so in love with our loot that we can't imagine replacing it in the MONTHS and YEARS we'll be playing Destiny when it launches? Give me a break.
To come to the forums and intelligently discuss your thoughts for game balance is one thing. To come to the forums and demand that things be nerfed, gripe about the balance, complain about which classes are unstoppable, etc. is, again, absurd. We are not game designers. Your actual opinion on these topics is near invalid. The data that Bungie collects from our playtime will speak to the balance of the game - not the countless posts of people still feeling sore from their latest encounter with (ENTER class/vehicle/weapon/super HERE).
And stop fighting over which console is better. I've never understood the deep attachment. You may have picked one console over the other, but guess what - both consoles are good. Both can play Destiny. Both have very talented people behind them. The media and market experts LOVE that we feel so devoted to their products because it means we will make purchases for no other reason than our association with their brand. Unless you've worked for either of these brands, you have no reason to be as invested as you've become; to start fights with strangers, to stubbornly defend in the face of logic…really?
Have some class. That is all.

I am actually stepping out of the community for the most part. I'm sick and tired of the negativity that goes on. So I'm done with it. Arguing with all those morons seems to bring out the worst in me lol Maybe if the community improves upon release I might come back.

I'm surprised people are still on here complaining. I haven't been on the forum since the Beta started, too busy killing and dancing killing and dancing killing an dancing. Now it's over.....and I still see some of this.

Yeah I agree every other forum post is beyond negative... I understand that there is a lot of controversial issues with the game but all could be presented in a nicer way no need to ruin the forums with multiple post of the [u]same[/u] thing

Things MUST be said else they wont get fixed. Yea, maybe people could chill out a bit and offer more "constructive critique" rather than "hateful criticism" but still, critique is critique. 1 AntwortenI can understand some of what you say, but as for what people feel should be nerfed, well that's kind of what a beta is for, so people can go INTO the game with as much balance as possible. Now sure, I agree people could stop saying "This is op, nerf it" and instead give some actual insight on how to fix it, say the Titan ability where they slam into the ground (haven't looked it up only seeing it used) should either have reduced range for the instakill, or a higher cooldown, because people will fly through a door using that move and just about kill everyone in the room if he hits center, and it doesn't seem to have a very long cool down compared to the golden gun. Other than that, sure, people need to chill, why SHOULD items and stuff carry over? I mean because you played in the beta means you get a head start? By what means? You already know where to go, what to do, and how to do everything, you can reclaim those items just as fast if not faster than the first time.

5 AntwortenWhenever I've read an argument I have gone to the effort of checking the profile of the person... 9/10 of then only registered this year... And there user ID is in the high 490k+ area. Whenever I see healthy discussion it's with users whom have been here like myself since 2007 or 2008 and they are still within the top 70k or so of users... It's just the wash of bored CoD scrubs coming along. They will leave after. Keep it clean <3 to those of you whom have been classy and provided genuine responses I thank you.

As someone who develops and supports technology for a living, I disagree with this. A beta period is a time when you want comments, because perhaps many of them are BS, but within that BS may be an issue that needs addressing in some way. Bungie needs feedback. Bungie wants feedback. They didn't open up this Beta to be nice, they opened it up so bugs that haven't been found in QA testing can be found and squashed. They opened this up so Destiny can be the best game possible. This game is a huge risk, and Bungie's existence hinges on it going well, being well received, and enjoyed by as many people as possible. This cannot be achieved without feedback and adjustments.

Once you get past that, you'll find some solid people who write good posts, think critically, and post intelligently. Ignore their posts - you lose nothing by doing so, while you gain peace of mind.
