(Poll) Should Beta progress transfer, and why?

If we could get to keep the special 'cosmetic' items, like the emblems and shaders/capes from Lord Saladin, that would be great! :) L

If Bungie looks at everything we obtained and it matches up to how fast and simply how we would obtain it in the full release then there is no problem. If its no work for Bungie to allow it, nothing that would pull them away from fixing things, then its fine. Anyone crying for or against it needs to stfu, there was really nothing obtained that should worry anyone. People are going to hit lvl 20 in the first day and obtain far greater loot at that same point.

I think everything should be wiped for a clean start. Its a beta, not the full tittle. Its meant for testing and getting a sneak peek at the game. These things are inherent in the very idea of a beta. Grinding away for stuff despite knowing all this was a choice you made and need to live with, not demand bungie change because you don't like it. Besides the obvious fact that it is an old build of the game, there are several practical and technical reasons why it shouldn't or can't be done. Biggest amongst them is the unfair nature of getting a head start in terms of level and gear for PvP where such things actually matter.

Would it really matter, to be honest? I'm assuming that by now, everyone's main Beta player has been maxed out. This means that the armor you transferred still won't be able to be worn until level 8 again. I agree that certain gear has been worked hard for, but a lot of it is just things you get as you level up anyways. Besides, the full version should be a new experience from the beta. New experience means new character. New character means going back to level 1. I really don't mind either way. Great if we get it transferred, but I wont throw my controller against the wall if it doesn't.

I voted I dont care, because if it doesnt transfer then Bungie probably has a reason for that. Probably because beta items where placeholder and stats will be modified. (I sure hope they modify the stats).

Yes because of the time I put into it, If they beta doesn't transfer I'm not going to bother buying the game at launch I will wait till its discount price or not bother buying it at all, I don't want all that time of rep grinding and rare rewards gone for nothing.

2 AntwortenI voted yes but maybe not everything should carry over, I mean like if a person got the Cryptarch guy up to level 25 he should be able to keep him, if someone gets a Legendary piece he/she should keep it, all the material stuff you should get to keep but I truly think that we should get to keep what we put in the vault.

IMO What shouldn't transfer: Characters, levels, experience Gear What should transfer: Crucible/vanguard/iron banner score Grimoire Cosmetics including iron banner class specific items and emblems I can see things like glimmer and gear being debatable. But these are what matter to me most.

5 AntwortenI couldn't care less about characters and stats. What I do care about is the pile of loot in my Vault, including a gorgeous new Gjallerhorn. I see no reason why gear shouldn't carry over, and it would pain me to see it all just disappear. In short: ditch the levels, keep the loot.

Beta progress didn't transfer for Reach, I expect the same here. I wouldn't mind being able to keep what I store in the vault (but with balancing, and what-not, the stats of the guns and armor will probably change come final game). Or keep Grimoire score. But I have tons of currency and 600 spinmetal in my vault, I wouldn't mind keeping that if nothing else...

I have made six guardians 3 on ps3 and 3 on Xbox 360. I'm sick of that first cutscene and having to do the same missions over and over again. Transfer Bungie transfer.

6 AntwortenI think that not all of our items should transfer, but character lv should transfer. If not that perhaps a commemorative set of gear or something along those lines only a beta player could have would be cool :)

It doesn't really bother me, by the time September comes beta will be long gone and il be happy to start over.

I don't much care for loot and level and all that, I just don't want to have to go back and re-find all the dead ghosts.

1 AntwortenThe Iron Banner and specially rare misc materials and currency should transfer. Since the cap will of course be higher on retail I wouldn't mind a new character after all...

4 AntwortenAll I have to say is, I hope they IGNOLOGE everyone who wants to keep beta items, not just avoid us, ignologe, give us a reason why, and I'll be fine. If they don't, then what's the point of posting on forums? I want my voice to be heard, I'm not even sure if they are. For all we know, this thread could be completely useless, they could see it, and just be like "Nope." I hope this isnt the case. If it is, who knows if they're even looking at ANY forums and taking ANY feedback from us.

I don't think it should because they probably will change some things to levels and to weapons also the only reason most of me and my mates (probably most of you too) got some of the badass gear was because we had done the story missions One last thing may people think they should keep all there loot but the hole idea of the beta was to show you what you could become in the world of destiny not start your journey
