Sense the beta was open to every one then it makes it fair, every one had the same opportunities
-
Beta's are made for testing and finding bugs and exploits to report them and to give our opinions about the game, it's not a head start and never has been a head start to get good gear max beta level and skill unlocks, if you want a head start on a charter then ask for a pre-order head start instead. Companies use beta's as free advertisement and a way to help refine the game with out having to pay the testers they already got testers that work for them.

Characters should not carry over am a bit split on keeping the Grimoire score

11 AntwortenBearbeitet von Hirsty: 7/27/2014 3:43:17 PMIt's a beta. You should NEVER let people keep progress. If there was an exploit in the beta, a person may have used it, and be miles ahead of others at launch. They want people to experience the game at the get go, not skip content that may have been changed since they last played. Just no kids. Deal with it. This is how betas work. Stop spending so much time playing a beta like it's the real game. Play it to find bugs, not to progress. It isn't a demo, it's a test, and you're it's tester.

Bearbeitet von Greyfox86AU: 7/28/2014 7:05:11 AMNo; because it is a beta, prices, drop rates, exploits, stats or the items themselves may change between then and now. Not to mention the principal behind a beta test. You should of gone into the alpha and beta with the mindset of testing; not gaining items for personal use in the final product. The emblem is just a badge to say hey thanks for being part of the testing team; nothing more should carry over. We already have a HUGE benefit over non testers; we learnt so much and gained a lot of information while playing that will give us a head start as it is. So instead of being entitled over beta profile/character data and loot just count your blessings and look forward to progressing in the final release.

I say yes because not every person has played the beta, plus either way if bungie decides to not transfor them, they should atleast give a special items to beta testers for helping the build the game and for are brilliant ideas we have for the game are opinions is what will make the game good so I suggest they should atleast give beta testers a special reward incase they decide not to transfor the beta guardians
-
I don't care either way. The game is brilliant. Best thing since halo and halo2. I truly love this game. I guess if I could have my new ship and my items that I collected that would be good. Apart from transferring or playing a new character I think once it hits the shelves I will be pouring a lot of time into this game.
-
Wanting to keep an item is one thing, but wanting to keep a whole character is selfish as is. It's a beta.
-
I think it should pass but i dont care about the lvl as much as i care about my loot and my character itself.
-
Level advancement was accelerated in the Beta. Getting to level 8 upon full release will take more time and effort. Allowing you to keep your level and progression gives you an unfair advantage over non-beta testers. I believe levels and progression should be completely reset. As for the loot you found? I don't care, as long as you redo what you have to do to meet the level or requirements to use that item as you did in the beta. For example: you must reach level 8 to use your level 8 armor, you must reach level 1 reputation with Iron Banner to use that class item. This way you are only excused from the glimmer requirement.

i got some pretty cool stuff and would love to keep it but if not its aight i can put my entire life on hold to go searching for some. its worth it
-
So your saying you don't want to be able to replay the missions and refresh your knowledge about Destiny, it's a smart idea to not have your account transfer over to full game, it just wouldn't make sense.
-
All I really care about was the cape I got for my hunter and the legendary ship and gun (lvl 20 so useless till then) that I got from he iron banner, beside that I really don't care getting to lvl 8 is nothing when you think about it.
-
I think full release will have some surprises that they kept out of the beta, Bungie do so love their secrets :)
-
Even if it's a possibility and chooses to keep progress I would start from scratch to soak in the full release experience.

3 AntwortenBeta progress should absolutely transfer, because we are pouring energy and grinding the crap out of this game for sake of having the best game upon release, and most of us have awesome gear that we've EARNED and should keep it, but can't use it because of stupid level cap in the beta! I really do love this game, it's awesome! The least Bungie could do for everyone who has taken part in the beta is let us keep our gear and level in some way!!!!
-
1 AntwortenYes, because I played so much time and reach incredible things... i think. I... We helped you to make the game a better game, not for us... For EVERYBODY... So I think that It's a great reward. Think about that Bungie... We love you.
-
No. Start over for a full game experience the way it's ment to be played.

6 AntwortenI spent over 60 hours into the game. 'nuff said.

1 AntwortenI just want to keep the awesome iron banner butt cape(mark) for the Titan

15 AntwortenThere is no beta in existence where progress transfers, not in twenty five years.

I don't think the character progress should carry over. I think that starting the game out fresh with the world completely unlocked would be a much more enjoyable experience. Lets face it. The guardians are only max level 8. its not difficult to achieve that. chances are there may be a change in the starting story line on the final release and I would hate to miss any improvement simply because you start with a character that has already progressed passed beginning story and mission segments and there will most likely be more places to stick a level 1 head into to see if it gets removed from the body.. A level 8 doing a level 1 or 2 mission isn't very challenging. If you want to carry over anything my suggestion would be to give the beta players a small bonus by unlocking some skills on a new character on the base level giving them an early start on the skill building. that would be something players could appreciate without making their guardian too powerful at the start but with a slight advantage. example start with grenade and double jump unlocked on new toon's. Another option might be to give them some extra faction to start as a small jumpstart to purchasing class specific gear as they progress. what ever they decide to do or not do I am sure will be in the best interest of providing a good quality gaming experience.

Let me make this clear first and for most, I'm not complaining either way this goes. I would like to see our progress optionally transfer over on a character by character basis. I love my warlock and hunter but would like to change my titan. I can also see a case for those who think it should transfer in that we did in fact play the beta and as some might say " deserve" a reward other than an emblem. I have no issue with those who plead the case of resetting everything to increase the amount of potential hours a player can have of new content. Let me know if anyone else feels the same way. *Sorry for any typeos

I just want to keep my Kestrel jumpship and shiny Sparrow. Everything else would be nice to keep but we can earn it again...
-
If Bungie lets everyone keep their current guardians with all their weapons and hear then Bungie would lose the ability to change stats of certain items. This could cause the final game to become less balanced with all it's weapons and abilities. Bungie has to wipe everything clean to make sure everything is balanced
