Vote so that Bungie can see what the players want! Don't forget to comment why!

We should all start a fresh nobody gets a leg up think of all the players that weren't on the beta and just for the record I was in the beta
-
We will see what happens. I would like to keep my stuff but if it gets wiped, fine! I don't see a problem either way. The only thing I would miss would be the Iron Banner class (vanity) items...
-
Wipe it. No game, ever, let's a level 8 get level 20 exotic/legendary/super items. It just not happen. This fact alone should tell you they messed around with the loot tables for the beta. At most, a level 8 boss mob would give fantastic loot no higher than level 12. You wouldn't even get common gear for level 20. Wipe it. By the time you hit level 16...17, you will get your level 20 crap again.

2 AntwortenPlease stop with these....the community is split 50/50 on this subject. We won't fully know till release or Bungie gives an answer. In my opinion, it will not and should not. We have no idea what changes have been made, we have no idea what bonuses were added to loot drops, or exp leveling. The K.i.S.S. answer to this problem is a wipe.

I spent some time on the beta... I missed about five days of if but I spent a good 10+ hours on it. I think it would be truly marvelous if they let us keep our progress. On the other hand, we should always be considerate to all players. This includes newer players. They might find it unfair that we are ahead of them by eight levels nearly three months before the game is released. I personally don't really mind being behind on a multiplayer game. Considering I came into several multiplayer games late. It gives newer players a challenge to beat, a reason to keep playing. So that one day they can be as good (or better) than the others. Personally I find that this choice is best left up to bungie.

Stats and marks need to stay raid I really dont care about either items oh as well as reputations need to stay
-
4 AntwortenIt should not it would give an unfair advantage to those players especially those that farmed up ridiculous amounts of glimmer and had already leveled up there rankings as high as we could in the beta because they would quickly have access to higher end gear and weapons others would not for probably some time due to the acceleration of everything in the beta for testing purposes.

Our characters should carry over. We all worked hard for what we did. It's not unfair if on release day that some people will have higher level characters then others. We all had equal opportunity to play the beta. It not our fault that some people didn't play. Plus if they really wanted to play the game that bs they would've got the beta. We shouldn't be punished for they're laziness. We took the extra steps to play the game beta and they're planning to wait. They made they're choice we made ours. Our characters should be carried over because not carrying them over would just be saying to us that we did all that work just so that the developers could patch a couple glitches. If you agree that I am right then spread my thought because if you think I'm right then my thoughts are know your thoughts and we all wanna be heard.

I think it shouldn't because maybe if bungie made any extra touch ups on the game the beta may interfere with the new updates. If the game is going to be exactly like the beta then maybe it should transfer. Otherwise I don't think it should.
-
Main reason is because I spend hours getting my weapons and armor
-
1 AntwortenI don't care if our stats stay the same but I would love it if out gear transferred over.
-
3 AntwortenWe only made it to level eight, people. It's not enough progress that it's worth saving, but it's just enough to give an advantage at the beginning so that it's worth wiping. There will probably be level 20s by the end of the day on the ninth anyway.
-
2 AntwortenKeyword: Beta. A Beta is something to test a game. Not to get a headstart.
-
9 AntwortenIt isn't that much of an advantage at all. We had to work to get this progress anyways so we did earn it. Plus I have a level 20 legendary chest piece, arm band and gun. I would hate to see this work go away but it is up to bungie with this decision
-
12 AntwortenI'm mixed on this but tilted more on the carry over side for many other reasons and to the people that say its a unfair advantage and headstart then you obviously mustn't have played many online games considering that's always a part of gaming and there will always be those who are farther or have better weapons and gear etc. than others and I think we all understand that it was a beta to test the servers and find bugs we all played the damn thing so stop acting all high and mighty with ignorant crap like that if you don't want it to carry over then that's swell for you because why would it matter if it did to you not a single person has come up with a logical counter argument or reason better than it being "unfair" but for the people that still put time into the beta found rare loot gear inventory etc. and wanted to use it but it required a certain item or higher level wouldn't you be somewhat disappointed in the least and Bungie wants people to feel a part of their character and the stuff they earned to mean something and so why would they go back on that and wipe everything why would they have special events with rare loot and items and just wipe that why would our stats be up still why wouldn't they have said something beforehand and hint at a "surprise" they're more than capable of carrying over characters or items at the least and then everyone would be reset at default level so where is the harm in it wait there is none and Bungie is most likely going to listen to the majority and carry over gear etc.

2 AntwortenIf everyone is capped at 20 anyway (still think that's just silly) why not let us keep what we've done and acquired especially since we couldn't progress to higher levels to see what some of our stuff can do?
-
Who cares? It was 4 days. Bonus exp or not, it can be made up. If we keep it, others will catch up to us. Again, who cares?
-
4 AntwortenMoot point! deej said in his last major post there will be no beta transfer.
-
No it shouldn't, those characters don't matter, you'll create new more awesome guardians end game. The gear will be way better and in the beta all the legendary weapons had the exact same damage, which makes me think they were place holders for the real guns. Just to look -blam!-ing awesome and entice us in.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Premier N7: 8/2/2014 11:15:01 PMHere's why I think Beta progress won't be transferred over. And shouldn't. 1. Leveling was accelerated. During the Beta, leveling was accelerated. The story missions, crucible, strikes, all gave us Bonus XP. Besides, if level 20 is the soft cap (the story cap) and there are 5 major locations in final release, you're looking at 4 levels per location roughly (even at level 30, which seems to be the highest we can obtain, than 6 levels per location.) So based on that we would already be done with Old Russia and moving onto the next location, and we hadn't even finished the storyline in Old Russia. So there is a definite unfair advantage there. Potentially getting to level 8 without level acceleration will probably take ~8 hours of gameplay, based on Luke Smith's video on IGN where he roughly equated level 20 to equaling 20 hours of gameplay. In the beta, getting to level 8 look about half that much time, if even that much. So why should we already have level 8 characters who took around half the time it would take someone else who didn't play the Beta? 2. Iron Banner Reputation was Lowered. Did anyone else notice how every single faction in the Beta required you to achieve 1,000 exp with them before reaching rank 1 except Iron Banner? Iron Banner only required you to achieve 100 exp with them. That's 4 wins or 1 bounty achieved. Based on this we can guess that Bungie most likely lowered the Iron Banner Rank 1 reputation so a large amount of players would be able to receive rewards, which would motivate them to participate it the event. After reaching rank 1, the Iron Banner reputation went back to the regular standard of 1,250 exp to reach Rank 2, like every other faction in game. So again, an unfair advantage has been made. Why should we be rewarded with reputation and rewards that will take ten times longer for a non-Beta player to earn? These are the 2 main reasons I believe Beta progress won't carry over, nor should it. If they kept our characters from the beta, they would be providing us with an unfair advantage over players who didn't participate in the Beta, because we received advantages in the Beta that were used for testing purposes by Bungie.

7 AntwortenI really think itd be awesome if we got to keep our gear. In the beta i had already ranked up to vanguard rank 1 which essentially means that given enough time i could've gotton all legendary weapons and armor. I did in fact have a few legendary items and i had plenty of rare and uncommon items stashed away for lv 9 and 10. However despite the over 30 hrs i put into the beta i would understand if i lost my progress. I would feel a bit cheated but i honestly i would not mind leveling a brand new character again. It only takes a few hours to get to lv 8 anyway. So even if they do reset our progress ill be fine with it even though i hope we get to keep maybe just our legendary gear or our progress with either the vanguard or crucible salesman (we get to keep our vanguard and crucible rank in other words).

3 AntwortenWarframe has been in beta since before PS4 launched and still is. Should everyone playing Warframe have their progress wiped too?
-
I don't know if this makes sense to many people but when I play online games of any type I look up to those who put hard time and effort to get to those high ranks and levels, so if progress should transfer over those low level new comers can have people to look up to and think one of two things, I want to surpass or I wish to follow. I don't know if thats just me or what but still i'm 75% pro 25%con I guess.
-
All we got to was level 8, it won't take long to get back to that high level. Why can't people just start again, we didn't get that far. Just because other Betas do, doesn't mean that this one has to.
-
10 AntwortenLooks like the majority want a transfer.

Everything but the levels
