Bearbeitet von REXEL: 8/4/2014 10:13:33 AMI don't care if we do or don't keep beta progress. Heres the numbers of how many people played the game courtesy of ign. I'll be honest with that amount of people the "unfair advantage argument" holds no ground. http://m.ign.com/articles/2014/08/04/destiny-infographic-reveals-insane-beta-stats

1 AntwortenThree days after the game has been out I guarantee all of you who wanted stats from the beta to carry over will completely forget about it.
-
Transfer or no transfer, it all means the same for me. I just want to play. Maybe I'm just old now but I don't see the point in bickering over it. Either way everyone will still play the game no matter what is decided.
-
I really want to start a new character from the beginning with every feature possible. That's all.
-
I played the beta, every single minute of free time I had available in fact (only 17 hours). Honestly, I don't think it should carry over, and I never expected it too. Either way, reaching level 8 did not take much time, and the gear I obtained and reputation everyone earned is not that much in the grand scheme of things. Regardless of the reason people missed out on the beta, I think everyone should start out on a level playing field, but if not, I'll continue with my level 8 Titan (the love of my life) and enjoy it all the same.

1 AntwortenI think we should all take into consideration that some of the people commenting and saying that it shouldn't carry over didn't play the beta. They just want everyone to start fresh because they didn't play the beta and they didn't get the oppositional head start

big nope

Yes just not level

As much as I would like for the beta progress to carry over it would be a bit of a downer for me I ended up with 3 legendary weapons/gear and I would hate to lose them but on the opposite side it would be an over powering advantage in the game and I would lose interest in the gear because it wouldn't be challenging even on hard being at the same level as everyone else on day one would not only keep the game challenging but bring players together and help each other out and make their legends to the best they can be in one week I was almost to 750 grimore and to me in a beta that is awesome but if you want it to carry over I can see why but ask yourself this question how fast would you lose interest if you started with really good gear and weapons? Would you honestly want to play the game after you reach max rank what would you do after that? You'd have no goal or objective to work for you'd already be satisfied with your good gear so what's left for you then. Destiny is a never ending expanding universe any beta advantage would desecrate what bungie and Activision worked so hard to build for us to enjoy. The beta was just a test run for them to see what the bugs were and ETC. The game left most players in suspense so in another way the beta was dangled in front of us and most players fell for its siren call destiny got me and after the way they left me on the moon mission I have to know what it was about I want to work hard to get there not to have it handed to me sorry to put it in a paragraph but players just have to understand that by the beta carrying over your having your experience handed to you and that would ruin everything the game and the chance to build your legend from scratch you did wonders in a week if you start over imagine what you could do again don't rob yourself of the chance to build again or to imagine your greatness

3 Antwortenit's a beta. not the release of the game.. you joined the beta (because it was offered) for the purpose of testing and correcting the game.. not to get a head start on loot.. anyone who is pissed that they're 'loosing sooooo much (it was a week idiots) time invested.. WTF' well it's their fault for joining the beta. it served it's purpose, done and done. We also don't know if anything was accelerated or tweaked specifically for the beta. what gear and such will be available in the final that wasn't in the beta, what stat's abilities will have been changed/tweaked. And anything you got to MAX out your OP level 8 character will be obsolete in the first 24 hours of the games release.. and any rarer gear you got (legends and exotics) well again you played for a week.. so you'll get that and more by just playing the game when it comes out. You'd have to be a poor sport (and entitled) to think that just because you volunteered your time for a beta that you should be able to start ahead of everyone else. No one did anything in a restricted week of gameplay that they will surpass in half that time when it comes out, don't know how many times that can be stressed. To a very very very small degree I could see letting grimoir score carry over.. EXCEPT for the fact that they already stated that there will be rewards for grimoirs.. so when you start over (boohoo) and start getting grimoirs back it wont feel like you are just repeating the same grind for no reason.. because this time you will be recieving rewards for doing just that. I for one want to start fresh day one and earn everything I get along side the rest of the guardians (if, and it's in no way confirmed or clarified as of yet, and of that exclusive ps gear/weapons are actually given to us without earning them on day one, I for one will be disassembling them instantly. you should want to wade into the fray along side everyone else earning your legend along side everyone else. period) oh and just to clarify for some of you out there IT WAS A BETA TEST TEST TEST TEST not an exclusive early access for early leveling and getting a head start.. (which you still get just from the knowledge you gained from participating) just take a nap already

Bearbeitet von Ray DROCK: 8/3/2014 10:15:36 PMI don't care if we keep our levels or our progress. All I want are my weapons and equips. Either way tho I could care less either way. I'm sure I can get all of the stuff back as easily as I did the first time.
-
I don't care. I'd LIKE to keep my things, but at the same time an equal playing field on release makes sense to me.
-
All I want is my cape and my emblem
-
If the progress transfers an you use the earned beta emblems people may harass and call you beater. I would personally rather wearing my emblem with pride after a full wipe but that's just me
-
Just to play devil's advocate here, and to get it out of the way, I understand what a beta is. Is there a valid reason why progress couldn't b wiped but u could keep ur vault/gear? For the vast majority of instances u would have to earn ur way back to use it that way anyway. Don't really see the harm in it. Actually I think it's a pretty good compromise. That said, I wouldn't b torn up loosing everything, legendaries included. But would b nice to keep at the same time
-
Should be reset for me. Am sure a couple of things will change between beta and launch, so may as well enjoy again. It doesn't take long to get to level 8 anyway. As for the loot and rewards I got, the only ones I am bothered about is the legendary level 20 stuff. Am sure by the time I get to level 20 I have replaced it by looting anyway.
-
2 AntwortenCould really care less, it was only the beta and it was easy to get what I unlocked. Pretty sure it'll be the same in the full game.
-
I'm fine either way but I would prefer to keep my iron banner loot because it seems like it won't be back for awhile if at all
-
It won't bother me either way. If yes, I would feel foolish for deleting all the level 10 rares I found. If not, I can have a fresh start with more chances to find better gear up to level 8.
-
I would just like my emblems and stuff I got from iron banner. I'd also like my primary weapon
-
Think about it this way. The beta is not the finished product (obviously). Because of that, there could be additional things that happen at the beginning of the actual game that did not occur at the beginning of the beta. Do you really wanna miss that? And if that is not the case, it won't take that long to get back to where you were.
-
6 AntwortenBeta transfer is not needed due to the accelerated experience we got in the beta. Secondly because everyone deserves to be on an even footing. Think of it this way: We have experience about what to expect. No one who didn't play the beta knows what to expect at this point.
-
By playing the beta you gained an advantage over anyone who didn't. Some players assumed they needed to pre-order the game and had no idea that the beta was open to all after a day or two. That's enough for me at least. The only thing that should transferrer over are the items you acquired from the crucible and the iron banner.
-
I don't see the harm in beta carryover. Like give the option and be done with it. People can argue it gives an unfair leg up but I don't see that as being true as some people are really going to smash through the leveling up upon release and catch up reaaaal quick.
-
We should all start a fresh nobody gets a leg up think of all the players that weren't on the beta and just for the record I was in the beta
