In the Alpha I experimented with something that I wasn't sure was a good mechanic for story/raids/strikes etc. it's when you switch your primary/special/ and heavy weapon. So, let's say you were using your hand cannon and it had 6 rounds in it but you had 12 left over to reload with. If you were to use all of your hand cannon ammo and deplete all the ammo, that means that all of your other weapons from the auto rifle, the scout, those weapons are now at 0 AMMO. I got used to it because I figured, " okay, they want me to choose a gun and stick with it." But I found myself switching weapons back and forth because each one has a benefit depending on the situation.
Did anyone else discover this while switching weapons? And how did you guys feel about that? In my honest opinion, I'm not sure if i really like this design.. But I kinda wish instead of taking all of your ammo away for every gun, they would at least let you keep the clip for each one.
Thanks guys!

It is only when you go into your inventory and switch weapons within the same slot.

i think its a good design choice. otherwise we might as well carry the whole arsenal right there ingame. they *allow* you to switch if its not working out, but that's different than saying you're going in with all your guns right there at a flick of a switch.

Yeah they talked about that in the ign videos
