Edit: To no one who understand why Halo 4 is mentioned it is because Halo 4 took many of the ideas that were implemented in Reach (such as load outs all together) and expanded on them.
"It's just a beta guys" "They have 6 months of polish" "Adapt or leave"
We all left. I still have left and from what I'm hearing/seeing I'm not coming back. I will give Destiny one try when I play beta but Bungie has lost my faith long ago when they destroyed Halo's balance and competitive gaming for me.

1 AntwortenI honestly don't get where these kinds of posts are coming from. You're a tool, 1. You toute some past achievement in a game that doesn't matter anymore as if it's meaningful. 2. You're making the entire premise of your post based on what might happen. 3. You're acting like there's not a wealth of PvP footage on youtube from the alpha that just happened. We get it, you're an xbox dude who thinks he's godmode at games. Cool beans. No point in posting a "threatening" post at bungie before you even play the game man. Personally, I see that and think you're an obvious troll, but reading some of your replies to this thread I honestly think you're just a tool who doesn't realize how tooly he is. Goodluck with whatever though, hope you like eating crow when you actually start playing the beta.

If you have to say you were a MLG player, you've already lost. That doesn't matter to anyone, especially not the average player. Bungie has already stated that Destiny's PvP will be imperfectly balanced, to establish a long term Meta-Game such as is seen in MOBAs like Dota and LoL. It plays different from both Halo and CoD. You aren't going to get the perfect balance you want, the game isn't designed that way. And if you can't stand it, then I suggest you find a different game. This game was never supposed to become MLG approved, again it wasn't designed that way. It was designed to introduce a new way of experience FPS multiplayer, that is a blend of traditional FPS multiplayer matches and RPG PvP matches. And personally, I felt they have done a good job so far. I enjoy it, and look forward to studying and understanding the Meta once the game releases. I also imagine that Bungie will be constantly tweaking the balance to prevent Meta stagnation or tactics that provide imbalance. That is the way the game was designed, and I am sorry its not what you are looking for. I suggest you find another game to get your perfectly balanced FPS multiplayer competitive fix. Otherwise, I hope you find your enjoyable niche in Destiny. Also, as a general piece of advice, coming off humble and expressing concerns with solutions will take your opinion a lot farther than touting out achievements you've made as if they make your opinion more valid. I've won a MTG State tournament a couple years ago, but I don't go on MTG forums and say hey I'm a winner and you need to listen to what I say. I say things like, I had this idea for a change in this particular deck, what do you guys think?

Wait bungie made halo's multiplayer just for you?

343 is bringing it back.

1: No game is PVP only. 2: Who died and made you king about what PVP "should be"? 3: Judging a game before it comes out...

3 AntwortenMan I completely forgot this video, until you came. Thanks, I rewatched an awesome machinima.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von JinxedSix: 6/18/2014 2:09:14 AMEasy killer. Allow me to share my Alpha experience that cleared some of my concerns First you should know that I've been playing shooters since the Original Doom and Wolfenstein and have been an avid gamer for decades I've liked some games that everyone hated(Halo ODST to name one) and hated some games that most people liked (Modern Warefare 3/Ghosts etc) I'm a good player. I'm not amazing but usually carry a 1.6 K/D ratio in PVP in any mode, after a hundred hours, on any shooter. I completed most of the Halo missions on Legendary from Halo 2 till Reach I was privileged to play the Alpha this weekend. I was engaged with the game types and enjoyed the PVP a lot. Although it was limited to two maps and one game mode, I felt it was dynamic and fun with old familiar elements, as well as some refreshing new ones What sold me on Destiny was the last day of the Alpha. I thought that I'd played all the game modes to their finality, within the Alpha, and decided to do one final run of Devils Lair on "Legend" difficulty. We'd run it a few times before on this setting and while challenging, it did not push us to the brink Bungie had tweated earlier that some "strange" things might occur during the day and to play at out own risk. So far, nothing had happened. That was till the Bungie of yore showed up..... It was as though the gates of Bungie hell were swung wide and the seething masses of bone crunching boss badassitude we're unleashed!!! Unending waves of punishing AI on a level I've never encountered before pushed our skill into the "sweet zone". That level of challenge that leaves you hanging by a thread the entire time Running, sliding, jumping, shooting till your ammo is clean out and you spam your grenade button to buy just enough time to recharge a small portion of your life bar. Teamates reviving you under a barrage of fire and hail of grenades that leaves you sweating, on the edge of your seat! Mad ammo dashes, peekaboo sniping, heavy weapons going off and super abilities holding the hordes at bay while you barely have time to reload your weapon. The entire time your life bar is blinking red at you just begging for one mistake In my 20 years of gaming experience I have never come close to this level of gaming intensity!!! It was -blam!-ing glorious!!! We emerged an hour and a half later, battered, bruised but high on a victory the likes of which I've never experienced before in game play Its not just how hard and challenging the gameplay was, but how fine tuned it felt to me. This tier was designed for the guys who can wield any weapon type with deadly effect. Who play as much on instinct and muscle memory as they do with thought Bungie not only remembered us in their design, they took it to a whole new level and dared those Legendary few to walk where few dare tread Have faith bro, this game will be very good to us. Believe! The two difficulty levels were "Brave" (bronze) and "Legend" (silver). I have no doubt that there will be a gold level in the final game and it was that level that we had played through at the finish I also know that their PVP will only get better as you level and the end game elements will blow our -blam!-ing domes clean off! When you get your PS4, hit me up at JinxedSix. I was Xbox all the way and love my new system. The controller is super sweet and won't hold you back at all

MLG, you say that like it's a badge of honour or something.

12 AntwortenSuit yourself. You guys ruin the fun for most people anyway.

I honestly feel like this game will be focused on pve... Not saying PvP won't get any attention but the majority of the attention going towards pve and if you're really into mlg just start playing LoL or are you only good at FPS?

Sounds like somebody's mind was already made up. - current non-MLG player SexyLonghorn

There are plenty of other games out there, I'm sure one of them is "competitive" enough for you.
-
They were losing interest especially with reach being their last contractual binding game (was it reach?) plus I think is much more similar do dust 514

Mlg, hahaha.

5 AntwortenI loved the alpha.

With the added stuff you can still compete games are just evolving towards the realm of competitive star craft as opposed to counter strike. If somethings op just use it and they will fix it. Competitive star craft and mobas have no problem with this just more learning for you to do to be competitive.

4 Antworten
I will give Destiny one try when I play beta but Bungie has lost my faith long ago when they destroyed Halo's balance and competitive gaming for me.
I'm not MLG player. But I thought Reach had a fantastic weapons sandbox. It was the AA's that gave it a bit of trouble. And even so, I sort of look down on MLG for completely blanding out the Halo experience by sucking out all it's features. >.> If I wanted a *big ass quotation marks* "pure skill" game I'd go play CS:GO or Quake.

No one cares about h3 mlg types anymore mate. Games and gamers have evolved. Competitive ranks, gametypes, 1 gun/playstyle to rule them all etc will never be what they were, although a skill based rank would be nice. Throw around all the poulation figures you like, at the end of the day h3 didn't have the competition of reach. Also catering your business to a minority market ( which is what you are) would be a poor decision for any company.

Yup it's a casual gamers market now. Everyone wants to be like cod.
