In the Halo: TMCC trailer, we saw Agent Locke (who was confirmed to be the "New" spartan) seeing some clips of MC from previous halo games. So is it possible that Agent Locke was watching or spying over Chief this whole time since Combat Evolved?

7 AntwortenAgent Locke is Lord Hood's son who was created by the Forerunners during the Rachni Wars in the Mass Effect universe.
-
2 AntwortenAgent Locke is actually our Lord and saviour Del Rio.

4 AntwortenMaster Chief Collection confirmed to be Agent Locke playing Halo.

Perhaps this collection is meant to be all AI reconstruction (augmented by Helmet cams, Drone feeds and soldier testimony) of the events Master Chief has participated in. A similar thing was done for Admiral Cole(compiled by Codename: SURGEON), and his last stand at Psi Serpentis. That would be why there were discrepancies in the footage (i.e: Zero g inside the Cairo hangar, Chief never deactivating the captured antimatter bomb, detonating it on the hull of the Assault Carrier, instead of inside it etc.) It seems to imply Locke is trying to study John in order to track him, so this scenario seems likely.

He was watching a hologram lol

I think it's footage of Master Chief that had been found and not from Locke spying on him. If you looked closely, he is in a Covenant structure with Arbiter outside speaking to him. In guess he was showing Locke all of the footage of MC that had been either uncovered or stolen to show him what he was dealing with or how to find him.

1 AntwortenI just came to read the Halo Follower Jokes

1 AntwortenI thought he was spying the Arbitercam. He likes his resolution to be 1080p.
-
4 AntwortenNope. Otherwise he wouldn't be looking back on everything Chief has done with the Arbiter guiding him/emphasizing Chief's importance. It's more likely that he's going through old files (which are just the campaign, told through Chief's eyes and other angles) as he prepares to hunt for a Master Chief who's gone rogue since the events of Halo 4. This will build up into Halo 5.

2 AntwortenYeah this is a terrible theory. Mostly because it is literally impossible.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Campbell48: 6/11/2014 10:28:51 PMNope, I think the trailer was telling us that chief knows something that no one else does, and they're trying to find him with the help of the arbiter ever since he turned rogue, You guys are saying that they are trying to tie up loose ends but why would the arbiter say the fate of everyone is at stake if really it would only affect the humans if they couldn't tie up loose ends? I think the key point in that trailer was, 'the seeds of our future is in his past' hmm I always think the new spartan will still want to kill chief though

2 AntwortenMaybe agent Locke is Halsey :O

1 AntwortenThat was terrible. Are you Halo Follower or something?
-
1 AntwortenWell, your thread's OP already answers the answer.

1 AntwortenYou're right. This is a terrible theory.

2 AntwortenDoes that make me Agent Locke? I mean, I have been watching Chief since Combat Evolved.
-
11 AntwortenNo.-Master Chief

3 AntwortenLooks like someone beat me to the HaloFollower joke. I think, if the trailer has any basis on what'll happen in the game, Locke might've been studying old footage or something. Or maybe the scene was just for hype. I don't know, and I'm not going to make assumptions.

3 AntwortenI just realized something in the trailer it showed the guardian watching chief. Also in the old Halo's when you fell off a cliff in multiplayer it said the guardians are watching

1 Antwortengonna stick with my cloned mc theory
-
2 AntwortenThat would be almost impossible.

2 AntwortenNo he is looking back on some of the stuff MC did
