Simply put, people are hypocrites. I for one, am excited for both. It's worth pointing out though, that my hype for Destiny has died down sadly because of some ill decisions made inside Bungie. On the other hand, I've never had a dislike for 343i, or Halo 4 for that matter, and the announcement of the MCC came to no surprise. Both are great developers who cater to their fans; neither is better than the other.

I think everyone will be able to take a better stance on their opinions for each company once they've played the beta for each game, then we will be able to tell if each company as provided what the fans want. Yes I know it's a beta, but it's still the fundamentals of the god damn game, if you played the beta of a game and liked it you more than likely liked the full game. Honestly the only games that I can think of for consoles that have public betas have been bungie games

I never hyped Destiny up. Feel free to see all the posts Iv'e made the past few years in the destiny forum (the few times I bothered to post in there lol) ... you'll see nothing but 'meh not impressed' from me. Destiny still looks meh to me.

I personally never hated 343 as a company per say. I however didn't exactly trust them very much after Halo 4 ended up as a train wreck more or less. The MCC however has made me trust them a bit more since it's in a lot of ways every Halo fan's wet dream. I'm still however very iffy on whether to even bother with Halo 5 or not after Halo 4, even if I do trust them a bit more. As for Bungie, my hype for Destiny has been for the most part nonexistent. Bungie's been pulling quite a few questionable moves as of late, both on Destiny, and in general. Yes, they may be still trying to create a great game, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve some of the flak they've been getting just because of that. I still trust in Bungie to make an enjoyable game, but that doesn't mean I'm perfectly okay with some of the decisions made. For example, I was okay with maybe some custom skins for PS owners as far as the exclusive content, but they almost seem like they're giving PS TOO much exclusive stuff. The BWU has also grown tiresome to read because it's nothing but teasing and little to no actual information. I understand they don't want to ruin the experience for us, but in that case, they should just warn us not to read it if we don't want to get spoiled. It's not like it's required that we read it on a weekly basis or something, and actually having information would be so much better than whatever it is we have now. I remember back when Urk was still doing the BWUs for Reach. He didn't hold back. He gave out information each week, even if only little tidbits. Yet, he knew how to hype us up even with that, and knew the right way to tease us. I would actually look forward to the BWU every week back when Urk wrote it. Nowadays, I usually forget about it completely, or ignore it because I know nothing special is going to be inside. Here we are, less than a year from release, and we still know hardly anything about Destiny, and a lot of people seem to be losing hype for it. That's a problem. Not to mention lying that Marty left them on friendly terms and not telling us what it was about. True, we have no right to know, but it's like watching a family you're very close to tear itself apart. Wouldn't you want to know why it's happening at the very least? I believe Destiny will be a fun game, and I believe Bungie is still a great company. However, they are leaving me a bit worried as to where they're headed.

I support both of them to an extent. 343 has shaken my faith with Halo 4 and the stories they want to tell in the Halo Universe, but I still support them. I've said time and again H4 was their first game so they're bound to be some bumps. As for story I think I'd like there stories more if they weren't part of the Halo universe, but that's just me. I'm actually jealous of the people who can get behind their decisions for the lore. Concerning TMCC, I'm really happy about it. I feel like they're listening to the community. Instead of making just Halo 5 where people will probably say "I hate 5 because of X, Y and Z." Now people can go back to the older games with the play style of their preference and actually be able to have a decent population. Bungie I totally got why they were catering more to the PS crowd. It makes sense from a business perspective. Although I was upset Monday and yesterday at all the stuff Bungie was handing out I'm pretty much over it now. It's nothing to make a big deal over, and it's probably Activision pulling the strings. I don't know if it's timed exclusives or not I've heard both. Maybe the Xbox crowd will get the stuff later, maybe not. The fact of the mater is it's just one extra strike, mp map, and some armor and weapons that will probably be obsolete after the first hour like Borderlands 2 starter weapons pack.

I still love Bungie and I still have a lot of doubts when it comes to 343 being able to deliver a good multiplayer. Not much has changed for me.

So funny isn't it? People hating on 343 one minute then licking their boots the next, and just because they repackaged games they didn't even make. Don't worry though, it will be reversed again soon enough. When Destiny is released, everyone will love it and praise Bungie, and when Halo 5 is released everyone will hate it and proceed to praise Halo 4 as a masterpiece. This has happened with every single Halo game ("Halo 4 is an abomination, Halo Reach was so much better. Halo Reach is an EMBARRASSMENT to the Halo series, Halo 3 was so much better etc") and Halo 5 will be no exception.

343i still sucks. Remember, they haven't done anything yet. Rehashing a game we've all played before and selling it for nostalgia doesn't redeem them.

The internet forgets very quickly. More recent events just stir up emotions and what not, firing a very iconic employee from Bungie, or remastering a game that a lot of people really loved. None of these companies have a lot of room for error, because the community will tear at any small mistake or misunderstanding.
