No Man's Sky is better than Destiny

Though honestly, currently the only thing that really looked all that interesting to me was how open it appeared to be, being able to leave planets are enter other planets with no loading screens

The difference between No Man's Sky and Destiny is that NMS has randomly generated worlds, while Destiny Has methodically crafted worlds that evolve over time. NMS can do land > Space > land gameplay because the worlds are much less detailed than Destiny's worlds. An issue I can foresee with NMS is that the worlds will get old very fast. Just like in Minecraft, it's really sweet for a few months or maybe a few years, but unless they are constantly adding new content it will get stale quickly. You can only look at the same planets/foliage/animal life for so long before it gets old. I'd have to know more to form a better opinion.

It's just opinion, both catch my interest, but Destiny catches my interest a bit more.

You're comparing Apples to Oranges. Does No Man's Sky look like a beautiful game? Sure it does. The problem you have is that Destiny comes out in mere months while No Man's Sky has no release date yet. This game could get scrapped for all you know. So, that being said, No Man's Sky cannot be a better game because it won't be released 1 to 2 years AFTER Destiny comes out. Will it be a better game when that does happen? Maybe. Only time will tell.
