Halo PC servers are shutting down on May 31st 2014.
As well as alot of other games. Looks like I won;t be able to play the multiplayer I love so much anymore (I play it like every day). Along with 10k other people.
I'm not sure if custom edition is included but it probably is.
There is a petition which has 15,000 votes. Read it if you like. It requests that steam adopts Halo CE. http://www.change.org/petitions/steam-adopt-halo-combat-evolved-custom-edition-multiplayer
I can't believe no one else posted this from what i've seen. Just shows how much this forum actually care about the older Halo games. EDIT: My mistake it seems people did post this....I was ignorant.
With this games multiplayer ending the Halo series is pretty much finished in terms of multiplayer. Halo 2 is already gone, Halo 3 is almost dead and Reach is gonna die soon too as many people will start to move the the xbox one...unless 343i remakes/ports Halo 2 to the xbox one with original multiplayer (which I doubt) or make Halo 5's multiplayer good (which I also doubt).
I didn't include Halo 4 because I don't consider its multiplayer to be like how a Halo game should be but the story was good though. You can include it if you want to though.
EDIT: Spartan Assault is on steam so there is a small chance this could happen.

Thank god it was saved. Who knows what I would've done if I couldn't play at 900ms ping against aimbotters on servers that have been modded to the point where they actually managed to ruin blood gulch.

1 AntwortenWell, wish I would have seen this before I bought this. Downloaded it to my PC and a manual update needed popped up that I cannot find for multi-player. I did sign the petition don't know if it will help.

I believe Grapesthe2nd posted this before, but it's good this is back up. If halo were to be adopted to steam, I know I would buy it in a heart beat.
