Ok I know the Titanfall Beta closed a LONG time ago but somene on the Titanfall threads recently brought up a very important point: he amount of Titan Kill stealing is ridiculous. You can put out an insane amount of lead on an enemy titan and be the only one doing all of the damage until one other person be them a pilot or Titan shows up at the last second and takes of the last percent of health and steals the kill leaving you with only an assist despite your effort. Am I the only one who thinks Titanfall needs an "Assist Counts as Kill" system like in Battlefield 4 where if you do the Majority of damage to a player and another teammate finishes them off you will also be awarded with the kill.

1 AntwortenIt ultimately shouldn't matter. It's a team game, and the team works together to reach that number, regardless of who did it. At the end of a game of Battlefield 4 conquest, you don't look at the top guy and think, yep, that guy won this game for us. You pretty much brush it off as soon as the round is over and new round starts. You forget about it. Another thing that strikes me with people that talk about kill stealing is when it happens to them, they bitch about it. When they're the ones getting the last hit, they grin and keep shooting. Basically, the mentality comes down to - its cool when you do it, but not when its done to you. It's hypocritical imo. I'm not bashing you, I just think it's a two-way street that people tend to speed on regardless. I didn't think people cared THAT much about their kills score still.

OP, IMO your issue boils down to perspective. Personally, I would rather have a teammate come in and help me finish off a difficult enemy (like a Titan) instead of the teammates that I usually get. The ones who just stand there and watch (or run by as if they didn't see the huge -blam!-ing battle) and add nothing to helping the team complete the match objectives.

Bearbeitet von Legend To None: 3/11/2014 10:27:56 AMYou can't 'steal' kills. If you can't kill A.I.s fast enough that's your problem. By the way your a team! So kill stealing doesn't exist it's just teamwork that your butt-hurt about. In Titan Fall every assist says counts as kill, how do you not notice
-
1 AntwortenThat would be fair. Would it have the unfortunate effect of discouraging players from assisting titan kills if the health bar is less than half?
-
1 Antwortenis dooming the titan the same as killing it?
-
Batt feild 4 has a good assist counts as kill system, perhaps thee could adapt this to fit titanfall?
-
I agree, even though I didn't play the beta <.< Kill assist counts as kill should be an industry standard now, it's nice to not get kill-thief'd or if you do it counts as a kill.
-
Its happened to me a few times and I've also stole a few titan kills. It balances itself out.
-
2 AntwortenIt's teamwork. You get a lot of assist points for it anyways, so why complain. If you want the kill, then improve so you can kill it faster.
-
The amount of kill stealing will never reach Gears of War level.
-
Nope. A kill should count as what it is, a kill. An assist should count as what it is, an assist.
-
2 AntwortenI have no problem with it. 1. It's teamwork. If I have to step away to let my shields regen and someone else finishes the Titan off, then go for it. 2. If you really want the kill, you can easily pay attention to its health bar and know when to shoot to get the kill. ( also staying close for melee strikes to ensure you get the pilot after core overload)
-
Maybe you shouldn't suck and kill the Titan yourself.
-
There is no kill stealing in team games. It's called teamwork.
-
Ugh. I never enjoyed people with this mentaility. Always yapping in the mic about kill steals and assists.
-
Oh boo hoo, you didn't put enough damage into it. That's your own fault for not getting the kill.
-
The only game that I played online where kill stealing was really happening was in the Gears of War series since there was the "down but not out" state in there. Let me ask you this, the pilot or other Mech should then first look at the enemy Mech life and then check out your life and then see if he should intervene? When it comes to games like this where the action is fast paced, you shouldn't think about whether or not you should kill someone on the opposing team. A kill for your team is a step to victory for all.

iirc you get a lot of assist points still
