Keep a log of everything you put into your body and set realistic goals.

1 AntwortenDon't sweat it. With your build you can do everything that you ever hear about, but if you're like I was at your age, nothing will make any real 'physical' appearance change to you. Accepting how you look now goes a long way in your mental state and how you carry yourself later on in life. This is not to say don't do anything. The right diet and exercise, maybe some weight training will give you some definition, but just because your not as muscular as the jocks - there's no way to compete with genetics. But just be the best you can be. (I was your size all through high school, though I worked outside for my Dad most of my school years, with his trucking company. Loading and unloading trailers with bagged limestone and fertilizers, watermelons, produce,.... I worked harder than any of the jocks did. I was strong for my size, but I had no bulging biceps to show for it. After High School you'll find, none of that matters. I have a 15 year old son that is built the same way. He's athletic enough, but looks you could break him in half like a pretzel stick. Looks don't make the man.)

Stay away from bodybuilding.com until you know a thing or two about the industry. The BB forums are full of shit. The YouTube fitness community is good too. Since it can also be full of shit like the BB forums, I suggest starting with the channels OmarIsuf, CanditoTrainingHQ, and Scooby1961. Adam Raw has a cool channel too.

12 AntwortenPull ups would help, if you are on high school join the swim team. Eat protein but only eat 30 grams every two hours, your body will not be able to absorb more than that. Push ups will help, along with planks, you can work out anywhere, you do not need a gym membership.

Bearbeitet von Horseman of War: 2/15/2014 6:01:01 AMI had you beat after I got sick. Put on nearly 50lbs since then. I've been on a Disney movie roll for the past couple hours (don't judge me, there's still a part kid inside that will never grow up) and I have no intention of stopping until I find something better to do so I'm not gonna spend the next two hours typing out a well-thought response. If anything listen to Winy and some of the joes from the Fitness group. Even Predator- Premediator- Preda- Pred- d'oh I forgot his name. The Moderator with the black and red avatar that to me resembles the predator's timer. There's some good advice afloat. Just play nice Winy. I'm going back to watching movies for the first time in two years. I forgot TV existed. Always so busy busy busy and now I'm bored bored bored.

Eat some protein and work out, wimp. I'm in better shape than you and I'm 12.

Bearbeitet von Jim the Admin: 2/14/2014 9:26:38 PMWell, from what I understand, you can't really broaden your shoulders because that is bone structure. Join a swim team.

You're talking to a guy who's 5'11"/6' and weighs 138 pounds. My advice? You don't need to drastically change your lifestyle to do it, it just takes time. I've done it before, and kind of want to get back into it. Also, don't get too caught up in trying to become a muscly macho man, it really isn't that big of a deal. If you still really care about it, here are my tips: 1. SLEEP. Seriously. Just do it. 2. Don't invest time and money in bullshit workout and diet plans. Pushups, pullups, situps, RUNNING, and simple weights will do the trick just fine. 3. You don't need to change your diet. As long as you don't eat pop and junk food in excess, you're fine. Eat your veggies and all that other good stuff. I eat whatever the hell I want and don't gain a single pound, because I stay physically active. 4. Once you start exercising, you'll start getting hungrier. Eat all you want, you'll need the protein, carbs, and whatnot. They actually say in order to build muscle you need to be eating enough to make the number on the scale go up. It may seem a bit contradictory, so take that how you will. 5. Don't get stressed about it. Stress is counter-productive. Pissed off at someone? Go run ten miles, and try to tell me you're still mad. You should feel good about what you're doing. 6. Building any kind of muscle takes time. Don't be discouraged if you can't notice a difference at first. As long as you exercise often and don't half-ass it when you do, it will work. After I stopped exercising (minus running), I stopped growing biceps or abs or whatever, but my forearms are toned and the muscles stand out. Why? Because I was still drumming, using them on a daily basis for months. It's how it works.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von FoMan123: 2/13/2014 11:07:02 PMYou'll fill out, dude. Don't go to any great lengths to try to change your body type. You'll just get fat. Go to the gym, check around online for some good weight lifting routines, and eat healthy. Those crazy diets where you drink 3000 calorie milkshakes or eat a ton of food you wouldn't normally eat are terrible for you. Just be sure you're eating quality foods (cook your own meals when you can) and be sure you're getting good portions of proteins -- soy, fish, chicken, and the occasional red meat. And there's nothing wrong with being skinny as long as you're in shape and not unhealthy. Trust me, whoever you're interested in will dig it as you get older.
