MS acquires rights to Gears of War
Well there's another franchise that will likely go to shit, just like Halo.
Oh wait, Epic already did that themselves when they made Judgment.

I doubt this new one could be worse than Judgment like that is possibly the lowest the series can sink not to mention all the backlash they got for said game. Looks like I'm going to have to get an Xbox One, hopefully it's a special edition version of an Xbox for it.

I'm happy that they have the rights now. I thought that Epic might be done with gears but now we have black tusk to make the games just like 343i took over. I know a lot of people don't like these moves of a IP changing studios (Specifically Halo on these forums), but I'm just happy that we can look forward to more of both franchises in the future instead of their creators letting them lapse.

Well you can count on Gears of War on the Xbox One now. On one hand I feel like this is okay since it'll be years probably before we get this so maybe I'll crave Gears once again. On the other hand here Microsoft goes again investing money into the same old IP's and passing them off to second rate developers.

4 AntwortenPlease don't remind me of judgement. I'm not even a huge fan of gears but I've played them all and even I know how bad judgement is. It's just like with Halo how the game got dumbed down and gameplay elements taken out to appeal to the masses.
