This forum used to be filled with fanboys that were heavily looking forward to it since E3. The hype seems to have disappeared since the bots and the limited number of players have been announced, though.
It really does sound like a strange decision... 48 combatants and only 12 (that's 1/4, 25%) of those are people brings a whole new level of random to a MPFPS. What are the non-human 3/4 of the combatants going to do? I'm sure that most of us have played some FPS game in single player mode and we've all seen how stupid the "bots" are, if it's anything like that in Titanfall than I foretell a whole lot of noise at release... when people start getting shot through walls, or the bots start piling up in the doorways and sealing them off, or maybe just ignore the conflict altogether.
I personally never anticipated it, since all I saw in it was Battlefield 2142, and now we even know that it won't even have as many players in it.
Are you still looking forward to it?

I was never interested, I can't understand how people don't see it's just a CoD clone with mechs.

I wasn't looking forward to it at all, but I'm intrigued now. The bots and player count changed my opinion on it, made it seem more like an objective focused mp game and I want to play it.

1 AntwortenI have been playing it. Go f^ck yourself and go outside for a change. The game is amazing and fast paced.

No, I was never excited. It looks boring.

When they announced that it was MP only I lost interest in it.

It never really caught my interest.

Oh, sure. I think the bots are going to be just fine, and if Respawn says they made a creative decision to limit human players to 12, then I trust them. They have to do what's best for the game. That being said, I'm still going to wait until reviews roll in. That's more to do with how EA-published franchises have been faring lately than with my confidence in Respawn.

Hell yeah!!

5 AntwortenThe bot aren't there to compete with the Human players, they are there as a resource that needs to be controlled. Just like in games like Battlefront or League of Legends or DOTA 2, the team that does a better job of farming the enemy team's minions while defending their own will have an advantage in the game. It encourages players to actively participate and move around the map rather than holing up in a corner with all six of their mechs to camp, and it also allows for players to be caught out of position as they extend to take out more of the bots, and in general it helps to make the map feel more populated. I also believe your concerns on bots wandering off into the weeds is largely unfounded, there's no reason they would behave that way if they have set paths to move around the map on.

Still excited for it, but Evolve is starting to take its place. Absolutely loved Left4Dead so I'm not sure how long I'm sticking around for TitanFall. Does anyone even know what the story is about yet?

I bought the game already in 2007.

PC when?

Hell yeah I'm still excited. I'm a huge fan of shooters... in fact, if the shooter genre (FPS in particular) disappeared I probably wouldn't even play video games anymore. I play all AAA shooter titles, and for the past 3 or 4 years all that has been is Battlefield-Halo-Call of Duty. Thats it. Its time for something new. The hipsters call it CoD with mechs, but thats the thing, CoD doesn't have mechs, or wall running/jumping, or story mixed into multiplayer/etc. so really, all you can say for sure is that it LOOKS a lot like CoD. But it has enough new features in it that it isn't CoD. So yes, I am still very excited. And just because someone likes something doesn't make them a fanboy. "Oh you like hamburgers do ya? FRACKIN HAMBURGER FANBOY!"

2 AntwortenIm still very excited for the game.
This forum used to be filled with fanboys that were heavily looking forward to it since E3.
So just because people were excited for the game they are fanboys?

never was

I wasn't all that excited for it, but in the last few weeks my hype has grown a bit to the point where I'll likely buy it day one. So sure, I'm excited for it. The bot thing has worked great in every game I can think of that has used it, so given this is a whole generation later I think it'll be super. Very excited for that.
