1000 people die, no one gives a s**t, 1 FAMOUS person dies, everyone flips the f**k out.
It's just 1 person, calm the f**k down, like you met him anyway, or he met you, or had a conversation with the guy.
Once again, calm the f**k down.
EDIT:
Also crying over a person who made movies or some other type of entertainment, who you never met or talked to is stupid. Think about it
EDIT:
If every famous person died right now, everyone who's not crying will hear a bunch of idiots crying everywhere they go.
Take Micheal Jackson for example, LITERATELY everyone was crying over 1 person. ONE PERSON

The deaths of innocent people are always sad but its not going to have as great of an impact as the death of someone you know. I think those who die tragically daily deserve more respect and attention than they get but it doesn't change the fact that we will always mourn people like Paul Walker more.

This. It's common sense to think that people are going to be more likely to be upset if it's somebody they know. Yes, they don't personally know him, but he's still someone who has had some form of an impact on their life if they enjoy his films or whatever. Plus there is the social media aspect of it. The other day a guy about 17 or 18 years old was attacked by a Shark while surfing with some friends, they fought it off and dragged him back on shore while he screamed that he loved them and that they were his best mates. He had a heart attack and died on the beach in front of them. Obviously this is pretty traumatic for the friends that were there, but the people in his community were affected as well and so a Facebook group was created with pictures of him and a video of a memorial "paddle out" done by 100 or so people yesterday morning. Normally I would have just heard something on the radio or whatever, but because he lives fairly close by the page keeps popping up in my newsfeed and I saw some of the messages that people who knew him left and it's heartbreaking. It's like with Paul Walker; if I hadn't seen the messages from people who knew them, I wouldn't care to be honest. It would just be another death in the world. Seeing how it affects people is always emotionally touching for me and I get sad from the death.
-
And why does it matter to you that people are upset over his death? Just because most of them have never met him doesn't mean they can't be sad about it. They were fans of him and his work. I'm sure you would be pretty upset if something or someone you are a fan of disappeared from this world.

Bearbeitet von GammaF88: 12/2/2013 2:18:51 AMSometimes, people are born. They live for a while, and then they stop. Forever. This is occasionally referred to as "dying". In all seriousness, though, here is a perspective that all people should at least understand: Where were you before you were born? Not physically, but mentally? Do you have even a single thought from this point back? So, it could be said that you did not exist, or rather that you were in nonexistence, right? So what happens when you die? Your mind doesn't exist. So it is in nonexistence. Again. And if it is possible for your mind to come from nonexistence, and return to it, who can say that it is impossible for your mind to once again come from nonexistence into existence? Another life. Maybe the same life, maybe not. The point is this: Death is not sad. It merely is. Perhaps it is sad only for the living, but the dead don't care. No death should be overly mourned, as death is simply an opportunity for a new beginning.

Meanwhile, another person has 0 understanding of how human feelings work.
-
Because that's how emotional attachment works. Do you realize how emotionally taxing it would be to feel sad for every single person who dies? I don't feel sad about Paul Walker but I'm more familiar with him than the other guy who died in the accident so naturally his death will impact me more. We shouldn't need to feel sad for things we have no attachment to.
