T4R. I loved it how it focused more on the war.

It wasn't horrible. It just wasn't good enough to keep up with the other Halos. It lacked an interesting plot, no big battles, and created a jumbled mess in Canon. Not the worst campaign, but it lacked a lot in compared to the other Halos.
-
-Storyline was boring -Characters were one dimensional and had incredibly anticlimactic deaths -Main character has three lines of dialogue -Those mini shield jackals were the only new enemy -Tells you UR GONNA DIE before the game even starts -No big ass battles
-
No story until The Package.

I loved it. Perhaps it could have been better story wise, but the gameplay was great. I still get friends together sometimes to fly around New Alexandria

It was pretty standard fare, I felt like Bungie could have delved into the books some more. The gameplay is great, however, so it evens out (it was great fun doing a legendary run). Might pop it in and have a go on multiplayer again.

Reach's story couldn't fit on a single game it should have been at least on two games
-
There was no plot for over 9 missions. The plot that there was in the last level and a half threw established canon in the toilet (so I guess you can say it at least kept with the theme it had been running with up to that point). Was also not the character driven story comparable to Titanic that they said it was; none of the characters were interesting. Overall, boring narratively.

Halo reach had a great campaign

wasn't fun, shitty weapons, lame ass story.

Bearbeitet von U124926: 10/13/2013 7:40:24 PMIt was pretty boring. I can't say anything about story because, Hell, it's a Halo game, what do you expect? But most of the time you could Sprint your way through and press a button to win the level. Some areas you had to hold out were alright. Fun enough. It's too bad the huge crusade of Warthogs on Tip of the Spear never amounted to anything and you never even fought the Scarabs. Surprising that Bungie didn't want to send out the series with a bang, rather than the whisper. Wasn't really anything big about it and pretty much no variety. Custom armor in cutscenes looking great has made me replay it though. Good on them for having that as a feature when so many games just pre-render their cutscenes and leave your custom aesthetics out. Breaks immersion entirely.

Bearbeitet von Boomdeyadah: 10/13/2013 5:54:09 AMMy main gripe with Reach's campaign was that there was too much retcon. Especially with how Reach's defenses ended up being portrayed. Dozens of MAC stations were orbiting Reach in The Fall of Reach, yet during Long Night of Solace, not a single one is seen. Ofcourse had there been on those MAC stations, the supercarrier would have been decimated thus making the entire of LNoS, or atleast Operation: Uppercut, unnecessary. Reach looked like anything but a military hub in the campaign that it's supposed to be. Then there's the whole thing about how it took over 2 weeks for Reach to fall in the game when the invasion happened (It's at the end of LNoS in game), even though the UNSC lost it (IIRC) in no more than a day or two in the books. I can understand adding a few days so the Campaign wouldn't be short, but come on. None of Noble Team was really memorable and none of them had much character development. Jorge was alright but he died halfway through so he just ended up falling short. The rest of Noble Team was undoubtedly unforgettable. Nothing more to add here, honestly. The introduction to the Covenant during Winter Contingency was appalling and could have been so much better. I mean there's a little build up the plasma scorches and the locals freaking out and all. Then you walk into a building look out a window and you end up seeing some Grunts, a Skirmisher with a sore throat, and a Spirit doing some donuts in the sky. There was no sudden shock or anything, it's just "Oh look, Covenant..." What Bungie should have done was have the first mission against the Insurrectionists (add something to these guys for real) then have the Covenant pop in suddenly during the second mission, then go on from there. That would have been a better introduction while adding some content the hardly mentioned Insurrectionists. The Space combat during LNoS was cool and nice to finally see in Halo, except there was a lot of lost potential. The gameplay really turned out to be nothing but shooting down a couple Space Banshee's and Seraphs here and there. But why couldn't there have been some frigates, cruisers and corvettes thrown into the mix. Make it feel like space combat and not some slow flowing target practice. Lack of the promised large scale battles. It was mentioned in some of the vidocs that the AI on screen was doubled from Halo 3. Every encounter throughout the campaign wasn't any large firefights that you would have expected, they turned out to be nothing more than little pockets of skirmishes spread out. The part during The Package where you defend Halsey's lab was probably the largest fight, but a lot of it was spread out in a "Firefight" kind of style. In Halo 3 on The Ark, before you fight the Scarab and you go down the hill with a tank/Warthog probably had more AI in the area than anything in Reach. The story, as well as the gameplay, never really picked up until Exodus (saying that is being generous), more so when you got to Pillar of Autumn. Why did I write all this. I clearly have nothing better to do with my life anymore..

For 9 and a half missions, the narrative approached the depth of a puddle.
-
It wasn't bad at all.

7 AntwortenNothing relevant to the endgame appeared in the story until the final mission. The game also broke canon for about a year and made the UNSC look like a bunch of idiots.
-
I don't hate it soooooooo ya :/
-
muh space opera
-
It just dragged on and on for me. Not the best experience I've had.
-
I didn't. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
-
I enjoyed playing after reading "the fall of reach". I had a bit of background under my belt going into it. What I didn't like is that I already new what the ending would be like.
-
I liked it. Granted I hated having to explain to every single one of my friends how the story was wrong and other shit such as noble six wasnt master chief.
-
There was no story
