Yes <.< Are you Xenos, Heretic or Daemon? The solution is all the same.
-
Death to the Corpse Emperor.
Also collect Necrons, Dark Eldar, Orks and Chaos Daemons. (Maybe Tyranids some day)
-
Hehe, which legion? Or are you one of those crappy 21st founding bunch? .-.
I might be an Imperial but that doesn't mean I don't love the world eaters <.< Blood for Khorne!
-
Death Guard and Emperors Children. I like the whole plague thing DG have going on and EC give me an excuse to have a bright purple army ^-^. I prefer Fantasy though.
-
Hehe, I liked the Emperors Children before they went all... Slaaneshi... I never really got into fantasy, I've always been a bit more SciFi.
-
I just like the cool models, that's how I got into the games (And I was already a bit nerdy :P). The prices are a bitch though. The only 2 armies worth their price tags now seem to be warriors of chaos and lizardmen. Orks in 40k and Dark Eldar.
-
Hehe yeah, I got into it because I loved the Uruk-Hai and saw models of them and was :O Then someone gave me a random bag load of space wolves and so I got into 40k hehe. The pricing really pisses me off though, the Tyranid box has tonnes more models and plastic than a space marine box but it's the same price. And as for codexes?! The same amount of material as a White Dwarf but 5x the price. O.e
-
Yeah, I remember Battleforce boxes used to only be £50 and contained like twice as much models lol
-
I'm dying... Literally.... 28 guardsmen and a sentinel for £75 I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at this point.
-
We used to get 40 guardsmen 3 heavy weapons and a leman russ for 50...
-
Yeah :/ The other battleforces are suitably awful too, Space Marines - 10 mehrens 5 assault 5 scouts and a metal bawx. The codexes for SM and CSM are 30 each. 30 freaking pounds .-. I saw a whole space marine chapter for sale and that was £8000... If anyone seriously has that much money to blow on spess mehrens...
-
Best battalion sized boxes are the Skaven, Lizardmen and Warriors of Chaos sets. You get a decent amount in them for £65
-
Until the next army update comes along D:
-
They all just recently got one :P
-
Oh... They survived the purge this time around then lol. Hopefully either GW lower their prices (Not likely lol) or 3D Printers start being affordable >:]
-
Yeah they did :P. What do you think of finecast?
-
Hmm, they are a bit better than the metal models simply because painting them was a bitch. I've only had one finecast model though and that was Kaldor I think, I haven't actually done anything with my models for about 2 years now :/ I have a half finished baneblade awaiting some painting and quite a few models to assemble still, I just can't get out to my shed anymore because it's full of my family's crap now =.=
-
:O Metal was the best, did you spray them with primer? I hate finecast so much, they don't cast properly and tend to be quite brittle. Dark Eldar finecasts are a nightmare!
-
Now that I think about it... I didn't basecoat any of my models until the last year or so of collecting them and that was pretty much plastic only.... So yeah I think the metal ones aren't basecoated = hard to paint lol :L I haven't had a lot of experience with the finecast stuff but I did notice it was a lot weaker/lighter than the metal ones. I can imagine Dark Eldar shatter like glass because of all the thin/pointy bits on them
-
Yeah you're supposed to spray paint the metal ones you dummy ^-^. It helps the paint stick to the model.
-
Hehe yeah c:
