I know the video is joking around (in the sense that this guy is actually a PC gamer and is pointing out things that are better on the PC).
So after hearing this list, why aren't you a PC gamer?

I'm waiting for my dad to hand me down his old (still extremely powerful) PC so I can play Garry's mod, Arma and other stuff to my hearts content

Ease of use. Don't have to spend as much on a good rig, or do much maintenance or installation. Not as many virus hassles. But honestly, even having a laptop for gaming, I always have preferred consoles for the simple reason that they are what I grew up playing, and am most comfortable using I.e. A controller on my couch will always be most comfortable for me. Can't effectively use a controller for the PC games I liked (WoW, Diablo), so oh well.

I only play League of Legends on pc (well a laptop). I'll stick with ma' ps4

I can give one reason why everyone should have a reasonably powerful PC. Well, two. Two words. Star. Citizen.

1 Antwortenbecause i don't have time to build a nice PC

3 AntwortenSetting it up is way more complicated and it's not doesn't give you the comfort of sitting on your couch with a huge screen. A pc costs way more if you want the best out of it. Also constantly needing to update everything with the possibility of getting a virus is just to risky.

I sit in my recliner and play video games. You do this with your desktop?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Space Nib: 12/17/2014 8:58:52 PMProbably cause I'm perfectly fine and happy with my Xbox and I don't wanna waste a perfectly good console just to shove a computer into my already tiny room. Plus I've been console gaming ever since the N64 so a controller just feels more natural to me than a key board and mouse.

I am! Console and PC ;)

2 AntwortenIt's harder to play with friends.

I play both because I'm not a whiney bitch that thinks one is better than the other

Don't wanna be a keyboard warrior.

So many people writing "I like my sofa/TV"... You people do realize a gaming PC can be connected to a TV via HDMI, right? I play PC games in my living room, sitting on a couch, on a TV, using a controller.
-
1 AntwortenI sit in my office and look into my computer screen all day long. I don't want to come home and stare into another computer screen. Plus: Sofas > computer chairs.
-
1 AntwortenI like the controller over a mouse. Idk it's just how I was raised. (Yes I know I can hook one up to the computer, but it's not the same.) Same with playing on the tv. Why go through the trouble? I also prefer console exclusives.

6 AntwortenBecause the triggers of a controller feel more realistic than a keyboard

Bearbeitet von MR E0S: 12/17/2014 7:43:27 PMI'm going to provide an example of something that some of you might very well relate too. I'm the PC guru for all my family members. Whenever a PC broke down. I'm the one fixing it... and in extreme cases... formating and re-installing windows. After about the 30th time having to constantly reformat a particular Windows ME pc.... I finally decided to force that particular family member to do it themselves. That one little act, literally turned that particular family member into a PC expert, because it finally dawned on them .... "Wow, it really is that easy to re-install windows.... I never knew" Of course you never knew, because you immediately make no attempt to learn how to do it. Now... that family member has actually taken over 75% of the responsibility of fixing the PC's for our family/friends. Which is not that often anymore. Then, because of me forcing him to learn it... they actually decided to continue their education with technology and learned things like how to Mod the original Xboxes, etc. And this all started from the simple act of putting the windows CD in the drive and following the on-screen prompts. Because pressing the "Enter" button every now and then during an install... is not that hard. And that is ultimately what you are all afraid of.
Because pressing the "Enter" button every now and then during an install... is not that hard.
Don't be afraid of learning how to install programs on your PC. Because this is where most problems reside. If you pay attention , read, look for check boxes... you come to realize how to avoid having internet-toolbars, mc-afee, spyware, etc. screwing up your system.

My computer runs oblivion and morrowind. Anything past that It can't handle. And I'm trying to spend 800+ on a new system

3 AntwortenIt is simply to time consuming to figure out what my rig can handle and set the settings just right so my rig doesn't crash. And $$$.
