Who would you help? My dad still has cancer.
Ugh, I left the windows open in my house & now it smells like gasoline exhaust. I swear, I probably killed half a lung helping my mom mow the lawn tonight.
Would you help?
My poor mother gets home from being at my fathers bedside all day just to mow the lawn and all I can think of saying is,
"Can I help?"
I'm not this kind of girl normally. Only some kind of supernatural power could cause me to ask this question. I'm usually fairly lazy. But how could I not ask her if she needed help when she's helped me & my family so much! I wouldn't be able to help feeling guilty if I saw her out there mowing the lawn and I hadn't lifted a finger. Anyway, I can only give this thanks to God for telling me how to help my family. Love you Lord!
"I lift my eyes up, to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from God, maker of heaven, creator of the earth."
So, my dad has received the prayers of thousands of people, but he's still not healed. Does that make me question my faith? Does that make me think Gods not there?
No! Of course not!
I do not know the plans my God has for my dad, so I will not ask him to be healed unless it is Gods will! Not my will, but Gods will. God may have a better purpose for my dad. God uses all of our lives for his glory. It is not because of God that we have sicknesses and illnesses, but it is because there is sin on earth. Besides, who wants to stay here on yucky, old earth. I want to be in heaven! That is where the party's at! The ppl in heaven are the ones livin' it large!
Anyway, that's my earthly rant for this evening. Pray for my dad! There's still a chance God could use him here on earth! I hope he can, because my dad is a great man. I am hopeful for each and every one of you- if you don't have a good father figure in your lives and there's been brokenness and hurting in your past relationship with your dads. I pray for healing for each and every one of you and that you would be blessed by a fatherly figure in your life.

That really makes me feel like you don't give a -blam!- about your father, you blaming your feelings on a divine deity for an excuse of wanting to help just makes me feel like you're even a bigger asshole than most holier-than-thou-christians, knowing how the flood feels about this stuff, i can't help but feel like it's in a place that isn't genuine. But all of the christian bullshit aside and you shoving your nice fatherly relationship crap down my throat, i still wish your father well.

16 AntwortenI love the ideology within people about prayers. If something happens that you just happen to pray for then, "God is great" But if it doesn't, "God has plans." It's a very infallible system that basically mean anything could fucking happen, but no matter what "god" get's the attention for it.
