So ye the Xbox one CPU now runs at 1.75ghz vs 1.6ghz that the ps4 runs at.

Was going to get an XB1 anyways...

Doesn't mean anything at all, the PS4 still has the far superior hardware, which is one of the many reasons as to why I'll be purchasing it, all this Xbox One CPU speed boost means is a higher chance of the red ring of death being re-introduced.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von BuckNasty2501: 9/4/2013 3:43:36 AMGAF posters are the best: I have led to believe that: PS4: 1.84TF GPU PS4: 1152 Shaders PS4: 72 Texture units PS4: 32 ROPS 8gb GDDR5 @ 176gb/s Verses Xbone: 1.31 TF GPU Xbone: 768 Shaders Xbone: 48 Texture units Xbone: 16 ROPS 8gb DDR3 @ 69gb/s+ 32MB ESRAM @109gb/s will barely make a dent to multiplat performance and PS4/X1 are so "close" in power it wont matter. Now, you tell me that 150Mhz upclock to the CPU will bring parity to those machines? I've seen it all including Titan Fall. crazy launch times indeed

2 AntwortenI just hope it doesn't cause any major overheating issues.

1 AntwortenIts getting pathetic now, MS have deliberately boosted the CPU just to beat the ps4. It's one thing for retarded kids to be pathetic fanboys but when the company's making the consoles do it its just worrying. They care more about outdoing the other console than they do about delivering a good product to last us the next 8 years

1 AntwortenSince both consoles are running tweaked AMD Jaguar APUs, you can do a clock to clock comparison, and the X1 does have a slight edge here. However, bumping up the multiplier a tick isn't going to result in massive performance differences between the two. The PS4 is faster overall, but not significantly enough to straight up bury the X1. What I'm more interested in what this says about Jaguar's overclocking potential once those APUs hit PC. Heat and power draw are more pressing concerns in designing a static console than building a custom PC, since you can toss in more fans or liquid cooling to manage heat, and more reliable and efficient power supplies to handle aggressive overclocking. If MS has found the X1 can handle a modest CPU and GPU bump on otherwise basic cooling, then Jaguar might be pretty interesting.

11 Antwortenwell the ps4 has 62.3 betawaves embedded inside the combuster module making it exactly 3.27 gigawatts faster than the xbone. that being said, i will give it to the xbox for having the 80,000 megadrive transistor connections inside the video interface capacitor, making it slightly faster in the terabyte flux aniromitor area.

Good to see them improving I wish I could get one but. I can only get one and I'll be getting the PS4.
-
12 AntwortenDoesn't matter really. The consoles are both equal really. .5GB of more RAM on PS4 supposedly, a small increase in the CPU in the X1, won't matter.
-
I have a better processor on my laptop. Which was cheaper than Xbone by $200

Fascinating. [/sarcasm]

Please, my DeLorean clocks higher.

in before "XBOX IS THINKING OF IT'S GAMERS!!!!!1111ONEELEVENONE!!!!!111!" Really it looks more like "We proudly introduce more hype to create more sales since we're already fumbling about the small amount of countries we're releasing for and the lack of sales numbers that will be at launch"

5 AntwortenSo they have to pass FCC again?
-
3 AntwortenIs that a lot? I don't understand that kind of computer stuff.

1 Antwortenwhat does this mean?

1 AntwortenI don't understand any of it.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Quantum Leap: 9/4/2013 1:42:39 AMThe PS4's GPU shader is clocked at 1.84 teraflops, whereas the Xbox One is clocked at 1.4. As for the CPU, extra ports in the PS4 allow the clock speed to max out at 2.75GHz, however, on the other hand, the Xbox Ones CPU clock speed will be set at 1.75GHz, which is almost half of the current gen Xbox 360, which runs at 3.4GHz.
-
3 AntwortenMy hunch is that MS underclocked it originally. These small bumps are them going, well it didn't need to be THAT much lower. Avoiding RROD 2.0 is probably a high priority.

1 Antworten
150mhz
150 millihertz? I'm pretty sure you mean 150MHz and "now runs at 1.75GHz".
-
>implying it will make a visible difference

3 Antwortenso is the xbone still launching this year?

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von A 3 Legged Goat: 9/4/2013 4:33:51 AMSo for the average consumer, does this mean much? Will the same game have a significant difference on either system?

That's cute, my PC CPU runs at 3.4gHz. PC master race!
