How do you picture Destiny's ending? A cliffhanger? Destroying all aliens? Failing? Or something surprising?

The Traveler just falls on the Last City. Everyone dies. There are no sequels. The Darkness wins.

Destiny 1 = Ends with a reveal about "The Traveler" but only partially. Better understanding of "The Traveler" will allow a technology increase in weapons and travel to be seen in Destiny 2. Destiny 2 = Will be a quest to uncover even more about "The Traveler" and facing down even more of the same antagonists while introducing at least one new antagonist. The motivation to learn more about "The Traveler" will come from a revelation of "Impending Doom". The end of Destiny 2 will confirm the "Impending Doom" and make a significant discoveries about "The Traveler". Again resulting in a technology bump for Destiny 3. At least one new race will be located by this point opening up at least one more playable Race and Class (this race discovery will come at the end of Destiny 1 or the Start of Destiny 2). Destiny 3 = Will involve a quest to uncover the true antagonist and it's Galaxy wide destruction/conquest plan. At the end of Destiny 3, "The Traveler" will be well understood and be less of an enigma. Humanity, and it's current and newly discovered allies, will realize the need to band together to face in "Impending Doom" or all will be lost. Similar to Destiny 2, one or more new Races and/or Classes will be available to play in Destiny 3. Destiny 4 = The final battle. Some device/knowledge will need to be uncovered by our heroes before we will have even a remote chance of success against the true antagonist. We will win against staggering odds. Related checkpoints: Space and ground vehicle combat will be added in Destiny 2 or 3. Level cap will go up with each new release. Some of the best gear will be found in additional paid content between releases 2, 3, and 4. Guardians will gain additional combat/magic abilities allowing for diversification of class builds within the same major class. "The Traveler" will not remain in it's current position after the Guardians gain enough knowledge to defend against the current threats with in our solar system. A race with cat ears and whiskers will make an appearance in a future release. ;-)

At the end of the first Destiny I imagine the Guardians awakening the Traveler, only to have it fly away into space leaving the last safe city defenseless.
-
The world resets to a time before the Traveler arrives on Earth and this time passes by humanity instead of sending us into the Golden Age.
-
After taking our system back then going to the other alien home worlds... We set eyes in the home system of the Darkness which is also the place the Traveler is from... Humanity wasn't ready for the Golden Age but the Traveler disagreed. We'll take from them what they tried to take from us... everything.

The city is overrun, bodies lay sprawled out in the streets while buildings burn and Fallen patrols roam the streets, executing survivors. A small group of civilians and guardians watch their home burn from a cliff in the distance. It ends as the others turn and begin walking away, and a lone titan is left, the last scene is the reflection of the decimated city in his helmet's visor as Johnny Cash's "Ain't No Grave" starts playing.

1 AntwortenWith Credits.

9 AntwortenHalo 4 turns out to be a story created in Cortana's rampant mind. The guardians find a ship drifting in space and awaken the MASTER CHIEF to defeat the rest of the aliens. "Chief, what do you think you're doing to that Fallen corpse?" *teabagging the corpse* "Sir, finishing this fight."

I personally would love an epic ending, even if ending in utter failure, just adds to the effect. However knowing Activisions rap-sheet,
they may get tired of waiting and want to output another Destiny every year, and will get a third party company to put out a half assed version every off year
Then they will have destiny continued by a third party company till it crashes and burns bringing no more money!

7 AntwortenThe Guardians of the city look at all the enemy races and think, "Jesus, I don't want to deal with that." So they all go down to the Winchester, have a pint, and wait for all of it to blow over.
-
1 AntwortenIt won't... :D
-
1 AntwortenThere will be some dramatic incident and it will be awesome. After the credits roll this pops up. :P
-
In the end as every one escapes 3 guardians one of each class stand and hold the city until in a cut scene they are all killed as the last ship escapes and their spirits go up to the traveller. The end
-
The end.
-
Um I don't really think it will have an "ending"
-
1 AntwortenNo, but seriously, I'd like to see an assault on the city at some point in the campaign.
-
We don't even know how it begins.
-
The traveler DIES
-
A blockbuster movie being made by Peter Jackson, but then cancelled.
-
Last dialogue would be: Guardian #1: do she got da booty? *looks at female guardian* Guardian #2: SHE DOOOOOO!! *credits roll*
-
Gang bang between races!!!
-
