Beaches are great, and won "Travelers Choice" or something like that recently. And definitely, especially if you're looking in the right place.

I've only spent time in Birmingham so I suppose my experience was skewed... Haha Well maybe I'll visit the beaches then. I do love the gulf coast.

Yeah..Birmingham isn't the most amazing place, I'm not a fan either. Try Gulf Shores & Orange Beach next time. There's always a musical festival of some sort going on too, with A-list artists. Lots to do and cool places to hangout.
