With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.
So you can play games for up to 24 hours without an internet connection, once that time period is over you can't play games at all anymore, until you've established a connection again.
BUT don't worry, you can still watch TV and watch DVD,s and Blu Rays.
HAHAHAHAHAAHA!
Oh man this thing is freaking hilarious.

"Hurr durr. Muh internets always on guise it isnt evun a problm lol. U ppl just need moar intranets" Typical internet halfwits. If the problem doesn't affect you, it obviously isn't a problem, is it? Get your head out of your ass and look at the bigger picture you -blam!-ing simpletons.

20 AntwortenAnd when was the last time any of you turned on your 360 or PS3 and it wasn't already connecting to the internet? Exactly. Shut. Up.
-
4 AntwortenIt won't affect me at all and why would it really affect anyone? Ask yourself, how long do I really play games offline?
-
Ugh. the Xbox One is just becoming less and less appealing. I'm considering just sticking with my 360 elite.
-
2 AntwortenGood thing it'll be connected to the internet. Don't even need to pay cable bills.

Bearbeitet von xiTx CliNiK: 6/7/2013 4:25:44 AMB-but guys, they're just t-trying to prot-t-tect their s-system! I cannpt believe people are scavenging stupid -blam!-ing excuses thinking this is alright.
-
My 360 is constantly plugged in anyway, so I don't see how this would be any different.

I'm glad they clarified, fixing all the confusion was a priority and they achieved it. If you all believe Xbox One is the only bad guy you all have some bad news waiting for you when Sony releases similar information when they announce publisher-decided DRMs. In reality the online connection will affect a very small minority. Times are changing, its rare to find people without internet these days that play video games. Most people without internet connections are either older generations or lower income households, in which either case they probably wouldn't have an Xbox One anyways. I hate to put it that way, but it is what it is.

1 AntwortenYep this confirms it im getting a ps4

Bearbeitet von Rift Warden: 6/7/2013 3:41:51 AMI will admit a lot of this doesn't affect me in my current state, but I won't support it. The more you support anti consumer policies the worse it gets.

1 AntwortenTurning your product into a service. Nice. This wouldn't fly in any other industry.
-
In any other industry some laws about protecting the consumers would be all over Microsoft. This is just pathetic.

Is Microsoft goal to not want people to buy the Xbox One is areas without wifi? Because it seems like it is...
-
The fanboy is strong in this thread.
-
25 AntwortenIf you buy an Xbox one your obviously only really interested in tv with some occasional gaming in the first place, so it isn't so bad.

12 Antworten;c it keeps on getting worser and worser

7 AntwortenI find it funny during that rumor about it not being able to play offline they said it's not true. But they end up making it where you have to be connected every 24 hours.
-
10 AntwortenOkay? You kids are acting like that is a bad thing. The reason they have you connect is so they can authenticate that your games were purchased legally. They do this to prevent pirated games. You kids love to bitch about everything and be negative all the time, it is so sad to see.
-
Server lists is all I need. I have an internet connection. Besides, that isn't solid, they said before that you can still access SOME game content beyond that point.
-
Well, Angry Joe is well... Angry!
-
5 AntwortenYup ps4 it is next gen, was really hoping the drm crap was in fact a rumor. Now that it is true -blam!- MS..
-
I'm fine with it. The only reason I wouldn't have Internet is if the power is out, so I wouldn't be able to play anyway. I've never had just my Internet go out for more than a few hours.
-
Ya, this is kinda stupid.

Bearbeitet von AngryBrute: 6/6/2013 11:02:23 PMWow... I am slowly clapping as this console turns into a cant-sole. Thank you yahtzee!

Lol. Bye bye Microsoft, you had a good run in the console business. Just leave it the professionals, and get back to making OS's or whatever it is you do.
