No prob. I work in the business, and the people who "shoot" the movies are the cinematographers. If you say "Soandso is shooting this movie" usually that refers to the cinematographer, in rare cases the cameraman, and almost never the director, unless the director is in fact the cinematographer, which isn't the case here.

Generally on Hollywood films, there are 2nd and even 3rd and 4th units overseeing the filming of sequences like car chases or whatnot. Christopher Nolan doesn't use any other units, and in contrast Peter Jackson uses a few. Large studios like them because they can get production done faster, and in Hollywood, time really is money. Using one unit isn't unheard of though. It's the preference of the studio and/or producers, mainly.
