Is the Halo franchise the only thing keeping you interested in Xbox One?
No here's the thing. I'm an 360 owner due to Halo 3, and exclusives like Mass Effect have sweetened the deal of owning a one.
Though I now have a big problem ahead of me. My friends want to get PS4 which means I'll have to do the same in order to play Destiny with them (free as well). Halo is the only thing keeping me from abandoning Xbox, as I can now get ME and my other favorite franchise on the PS.
But when I think of it, Halo, for me, has gone down the shitter. Even to the point were I would rather 343i close shop "and that's all she wrote" for Halo. There is nothing I can truly get into with the game. The multiplayer is boring most of time, forge and theater are little to desired and the campaign is hollywood drool and has lost the essence for what Halo was.
The thing that is keeping me interested is solely the lore. I've played Halo since the beginning. There's just no quitting for me now. It's like not watching the last film of reading the last novel of a series.
Is anyone else in this conundrum?

I can always play the previous Halo games on my 360 if I wanted. So in regard to your question, yes and no. I didn't enjoy Halo4 and I probably won't get stay for the next game, but I am somewhat interested in the reaction to Halo5. I might get a Xbox One, but that would be way later down the line and it would be dependent on the cost.

No. Halo was a great series under Bungie and I did buy an Xbox 360 (Halo Edition) solely to play Halo 3 and a newer Xbox 360s solely to play Halo 4. The latter was a good game but no system seller. Put me in the category of halo fans keeping their Xbox 360 until they see the community's reaction to Halo 5.

Honestly, Yeah. Halo and the xbox controller. They are the only 2 reasons why I have an xbox.
