I see all these threads complaining about how Bungie abandoned the Xbox community and I am astonished by this. Two things immediately grab my attention. One, because Halo was an Xbox game, a lot of the community seems to feel that this entitles them to stuff that the new PS4 fan base does not deserve.
I completely understand why Bungie would want to gear this towards the PS4 crowd. For years now their loyal Xbox fan base has received some of the best gaming in the last decade, while the playstation crowd is left with call of duty as their main shooter (no offense Activision). It makes perfect sense for Bungie to want and reach out to that fan base. As loyal Bungie fans do you not want to see this community grow? Also do you think Bungie will leave us out to dry? I mean after all we did help them get to where they are, I'm sure we will be rewarded.
On to my point about Xbox abandoning us. After the reveal, as it stands do you really want the Xbox One anyways? At E3 they might redeem themselves, but for now I'm and getting the PS4. The gameplay is also going to be done on the PS4, Bungie clearly knows something about the Xbox One that we don't.
All I'm trying to say is that just have faith in Bungie and they will deliver, no matter what system you game on.

24 AntwortenRemember, friends. We make games. That's what we do. You're all welcome to debate which console is worth buying. In the end, that's a personal decision, so don't lose too much sleep trying to convince other people which club to join. In the meantime, we're busy making a game based on a proprietary engine that will enable us to make this experience awesome on a lot of different platforms. Some are likely to be perceived as being better than others, but that's for to decide. There is no right answer, and we're fully prepared for all of you disagree until the end of days. We make games. We're making a game we hope you want to play. Good news: You'll have more options for how you want to play it. You're squarely in the driver's seat as the consumer.

1 AntwortenI'd take Killzone over Call of Duty any day. I'm pretty sure you can't play that on Xbox.
-
I wish there were no exclusives so we all get to play the great games we see instead of being jealous because a games not on your platform
-
They haven't abandoned anyone, I just want to make sure PS4 aren't getting true exclusives. I don't care about timed exclusives, like a week or month of early access to DLC, but I don't want to be shut out of content because I'm getting an Xbox One.
-
I don't think us Xbox users deserve anything exclusive. I just don't think Playstation does either. Not out of personal hate, just hatred to any type of preorder/limited edition/ other exclusive in-game content.
-
holy crap, I did not expect to find this thread again
-
1 AntwortenExclusive game is different than exclusive content. Just not a good way to bring together Xbox and Playstation gamers. Its about money and getting more playstation fans, i mean if the game is as good as they say, you shouldn't need exclusive content to get playstation players. I will play playstation but why cant we all start fresh and be treated equally? Guess we will have to wait and see how great the exclusive content is.

Bearbeitet von Sadisticsimon: 7/8/2013 5:48:25 PM5I suppose you have no comments because either people agree or are speechless. Well said sir. I have always been an xbox fan until 360. Just didn't really like it. however I had to keep one to play halo... That said, I will buy whatever system I think will play Destiny the best.
-
Bearbeitet von Doctor Strange: 7/12/2013 6:14:56 PMI think this is all hilarious because the Halo franchise is nearly 12 years old and vast majority of players that were actually there from the beginning are in their mid-20s-30s by now at least. Bungie was making games long before Xbox came along. If Halo 3 was your first Halo or Bungie game you have absolutely no right to feel "betrayed," and if it wasn't, you're likely too old to be making such childish accusations anyway. Either way, no one has been "betrayed" and all you're doing is embarrassing yourselves. As for the PS4 exclusive content: That is between Bungie and Sony. They were probably approached by Sony (not the other way around) and are being compensated for that content.

People still go on about this? Obviously xbox is more better. :D
-
I'm interested to hear what you think now after E3 and recent current events.
-
7 AntwortenSo I guess you also missed every thread talking about how Xbox One sucks and every response saying "WAIT FOR IT TO SINK IN!"
-
If I really abandoned bungie then why would I still be here? The same reason you and everybody else is here for. Which is wanting to play bungies new fantastic game!
-
Nobody abandoned anyone?
-
Their just hop scotching companies. Starting with Apple, then Microsoft, and now Sony. In ten years, who knows? They might be all buddy buddy with Nintendo.
-
Utterly wrong, Playstation has had titles like Killzone, Uncharted, and God Of War. We were missing out. Its A. I hate Xbox I'll go have revenge sex with playstation. B. $ (From the lowest of lower class citizens who all play Playstation who will help accumulate money from another gaming community) lol next is Wii gamers.

People on both sides try to force their opinions and argue over system specs and what not. I think at the end of the day, most of the console choice is a matter of preference. I'm not great with all the system architecture and specs, but I could confidently say that both systems won't be too drastically different. I own both PS3 and Xbox 360 and the games play the exact same to me. Personally, I've always had the xbox and played it more. I have my account on there and I prefer the feel of the controller. On the other hand, others might like PS4 because they take comfort in the better system specs or the lower price. So in the end, there's no real point in arguing over consoles because I don't think either side is going to be swayed to buy the opposite console by an angry PS/Xbox fanboy

21 AntwortenGuys Xbox does suck for 1 every Xbox is shit. And Bungie is better off with Sony, because unlike MS. Sony actually treats Developers,Publishers and Indies with respect. So herray to Sony + Bungie. ^_^
-
Well said, and E3 only condemned the Xbox One so much more.
-
I can only hope that Microsoft redeems itself at E3 because at the moment I'm not buying and next gen console because I really dislike Sony and Xbox has a lot to work for, having lost destiny's support with exclusives and ps4 announcing planetside 2! we need you xbox plus a nice low price would be a deal sealer We can only hope unless we want all of our credit cards stolen!!!

Bearbeitet von Reaper: 6/2/2013 3:42:57 PMYou speak of this "hope" like you believe in this but are you willing to accept the consequences. Fanboys will come and they will go but I think this post was a plead for a cookie. I see a traitor not a loyalist. Some will flow with the tide and some will fight it...

"Bungie clearly knows something about the Xbox One that we don't." When I read that, I grew uneasy...
-
Xbox did't abandon their community. If anyting xbox is being like Bungie and trying to reach out to other people. It is obvious that the number of people that play on the playstation network and xbox live have been declining over the years, so it is smart that xbox is trying to appeal to other types of people besides gamers. I will be getting the Xbox One. Just looking at the specs for both consoles they are pretty identical and from what people say they will run about the same. All the people saying Ps4 will magically be better than the Xbox One haven't looked at whats on the inside of each console. Especially since sony hasn't released anything about their console and Microsoft has. People are basing their opinions on nothing right now.
All I'm trying to say is that just have faith in Bungie and they will deliver, no matter what system you game on
yeah, but Destiny will feature exclusive in-game content, only available on PlayStation. So yes, you will be rewarded ... as long as you pay extra - lol.

The Reveal for the Xbox one just showed some of the features. I believe the Xbox didn't abandon us, but I think it's a good idea for bungie to add exclusive content for the ps4 but that's just my opinion
