Well I believe the fear of the used game market has been more or less resolved by now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've read in several places now that the used game activation fee is paid by the retailer and not by the customer. The consumer pays the price the retailer sets for the game and nothing more, then bringing it home to play it is no different than having it new - the previous owner's ownership has been dissolved of the game and then it transfers to the current consumer. As for the Kinect I really don't see what the problem with having one is. Maybe I'm missing something, but the only thing it seems to hinder at this point is the amount of space on your entertainment center. Beyond that it is a very smart piece of hardware that makes interaction with the X1 more seamless. Are you afraid of being spied on? Get used to it because, if you're reading this, you're on the internet. Did I hear someone say backwards compatibility? No? Well I'll mention my view anyway. The "nice" thing about having backwards compatibility is the ability to say that you can play old games on your new system. I won't claim that I speak for everyone, or even most people, but I kinda doubt that players are dying to actually play their old games. Don't get me wrong, I get nostalgic for an old school game every now and then as well, but, at least for me, the memories are enough to get me through it. One day I'll have a glass case filled with all my favorite old games, including the Halo series. By then it's possible that most, if not all, of them will be unplayable on the current-gen consoles of the time, but it's enough just to see them and reminisce. The games of this day and age are enough to amuse me on a day-to-day basis.

One word privacy. I think it sucks the games i have downloaded onto my xbox cant be transferred over. But the main issue was the console event and how mich of a joke it was . Youtube parady video. I dont agree with a device in my home on all of the time.

  • I love the idea of used games being able to be sold/traded digitally that way you can still hold onto the disc if you want to rebuy it later if the developers make changes to make the game better similar to Halo 4 making huge changes. Also people are so against it but trading used games online may give you greater value. Remember gamestop screws over almost every customer by offering pennies to the dollar on used game sales. If the xbox digital used game/trade thing provides way more value for used games will you be upset? Microsoft should provide more value for the used game market and they will decimate gamestop because as of right now gamestop holds basically a monopoly in that market and developers see none of that money. This way developers will get more money and will be able to provide more money for you selling your used game.
