Nintendo = Internet Explorer
Xbox = Firefox
Playstation = Chrome
Nintendo used to lead in the console wars, now it's not taken seriously by hardcore gamers. It's main audience is either young kids who are just being introduced to video games, or elders in nursing homes.
In relation, Internet Explorer used to offer top of the line web browsing, now it's mainly used by our grandparents.
Xbox and Playstation are the top dogs of the console wars. While Xbox offers a larger variety of features and games, Playstation is arguably more advanced with its engine and graphics. Fanboys will fight over which is actually better.
In relation, Chrome and Firefox are the top Web Browsers. Google fanboys argue that Chrome is more advanced and offers more features while Firefox fanboys argue that theirs is more user friendly and easier to navigate.
How accurate am I?
Please don't take this seriously. It's a joke.
All you need is a PC and a Wii U and your set. Nintendo always makes the best first-party games.

PS: I know this thread was a joke, but I just felt like educating the unenlightened.

pc is the master race

Sounds quite right, whether a joke or not.

Firefox and Xbox? Xbox and customization? Are you kidding me?
Please don't take this seriously. It's a joke.
My anus is anguished.

Xbox offers more games? HAH! Well I guess if you count crappy Kinect games. Playstation master race.
Please don't take this seriously. It's a joke.
I'm not buttmad, but I do feel like answering your question... :P When it comes to Nintendo's home consoles, you're absolutely spot-on. Their handhelds are better, though -- certainly not worthy of an IE comparison. The handhelds might line up better with Opera, which seems to be known for defying convention a little, but not too much. (A somewhat ironic case-in-point: Opera is the web browser run by the Wii and DS.) The Xbox-PlayStation-Firefox-Chrome comparison is a bit trickier. The Firefox-Chrome comparison is a little off: Firefox has more polish and is vastly more customizable, but Chrome is indisputably the leader when it comes to stability (especially crash-proof-ness) and pure, raw speed. The Xbox-PlayStation comparison seems accurate. Comparing Xbox-PlayStation to Firefox-Chrome therefore isn't perfect, but it works and gets the point across very well when you throw in the Nintendo-IE comparison.

2 AntwortenInternet Explorer is well-known for being shit while Nintendo continues to churn out quality material and consoles. Your analogy is incorrect.

Sega is Netscape.

9 AntwortenBut nintendo is actually better than the other two, they don't fill the console with useless add ons and gimmicks and if they do it's only one gimmick and it revolutionizes the industry with it's innovation. and don't bring in popularity because nintendo has been king in all forms during both the current gen and most likley the next gen, and the gens before the gamecube. nintendo is basically a mix between chrome's streamlined look and original games, and Safari's isolation and difference from the others. In other words nintendo would be a super browser. Dear god I sound like a nintendo sales rep.

2 Antworten
now it's not taken seriously by hardcore gamers
Honest question: are there still hardcore Nintendo gamers? I mean, I know there was a competitive scene with SSB, and people did Mario speedruns and whatnot. I dunno what it's like nowadays.

1 AntwortenI'd say Nintendo is more like Safari. In it's own world of origin and mission, not completely related to Chrome and Firefox.

>comparing Nintendo to IE >3DS exists wat

But Nintendo consoles back then are still superior to the game consoles today.
