Ok, DeeJ said in a mailsack that the great war machine, Charlemagne, died awhile ago, meaning Destiny takes place post Charlemagne. I did some research and found that after Charlemagne died in real life, his land was split up between some corrupt people. I didn't read much about them, but I do know that they cut up Charlemagne's land into a few pieces. From what I know, the result was that France, Germany, and Italy ended up becoming separate places. And if you look at the Bungie store, there are three T-shirts for three factions. So maybe each faction is going to have an individual story line following the three new countries that were made. *Note: I am not sure if it was three countries, that is just what I read, so Osiris and Seven Serephs might still be factions.
