Freedom of movement

Obviously a huge question about the gameplay here, can new go prone, crouch, sprint and dodge? 1.Sprinting The world of Destiny is epic, I don't want to have to constantly take my spaceship with me every 100 feet I travel because I walk to slow. That would be horribly infuriating not to mention it would make moving extremely monotonous and take a lot of "battle" movements away. me and everyone I played Halo with absolutely hated only 1 speed and 1 clunky way of moving. This will be essential to not only immersion but evading and simply moving around the universe of Destiny. 2. Prone/crouching Previous Bungie games do have crouching, bot no prone. That begs the question, can I use the beautiful landscape of Venus to it's full advantage? Or will that knee high rock be absolutely useless? Another immersion breaker for me. If I get shot at surprisingly, I don't know about you, but I'm hitting the bleeping deck. Not to mention why even "cloak" as a hunter if you have to do it crouching? Quite counter productive. Not being able to go prone for cover, evasion, hiding or even just because even Destiny's Gods don't know where you being shot at from, would be a total and utter immersion breaker. 3. Dodge I don't know about everyone else but I feel a roll or dodge of some sort will be essential. With a Hive freaking zombie coming in full speed I don't want to have to turn my screen and sprint, that's so cliché and clunky. If I'm being attacked I want to be able to hit the deck, run for cover, go prone behind a rock and roll/dodge the bleep away when something gets to close. Even a jump to the side or backwards would work. Some people don't like a screen spin or wobble, make it an option to disable the wobble like in Arma. 4.Swimming I've seen this in another thread and I have to say, also essential. Not just for cool escape scene's like a freaking space zombie chasing you to a cliff where you dive off into the river Indiana jones style, but for simple exploring. Your in old Chicago, now a swamp. You see a suspicious building, halfway eaten by the deep swamp it's surrounded in. You think it looks suspicious. No way in it seems though, no open door or window or anything. You decide to cross the bit of swamp it's in, you jump in the water and go under. Wait a second...the hell is that? A broken window about 7 feet down, barely visible. A way inside. Mind = blown. Nerdgasms every where. Not only is it greatly rewarding to find hidden things like this, swimming is essential to traveling, exploring, escaping and just plain getting wet. Also I'm going to try and drown space zombies. Just because. Overview. The monotonous moving and freedom of movement in past Bungie games is....well...awful. Just my opinion. Being in a giant mysterious alien war that is halo is bleeping epic.....until you can't hide behind a rock, swim, dodge or even BLEEPING RUN away from things. How can I fight a war if I can't use basic movement? I didn't finish the story of Halo because as much as I loved it, the immersion was absolutely zero. I NEVER felt like I was part of the war. Imagine your being shot at out of nowhere, can you hit the deck? No. How about sprint to the nearest rock? No. ....Dodge and make my slow agonizing way to the rock? Nope. Jump in the nearest river and pray? No. .....Die because I move like a sloth without legs? Yeah, probably. No thanks. There is no point to a giant gorgeous world of exploration and mystery if I can't immerse myself in it. What's the point of a giant awesome lake, that I can't go in? Or a cool broken down building I could get up and do some serious scouting....if I'm standing up going" hey look the BLEEP OVER HERE". Absolutely pointless. To feel like we are in this world, we must be able to use our instincts, "jogging" in a line towards the closest rock going "eehhmmmmm runnn goooo don't shoot mee errerereerrrrrrrrrr" isn't close to how I react in games with freedom of movement. TLDR: The monotonous moving in halo games is awful and completely immersion breaking. No prone, dodging, sprinting or swimming. The slow awful moving in halo is what made me stop playing, I felt as if I was playing Nintendo. There's a person around that corner......just 10 more seconds of the same slow speed and I'll be there....If this is in Destiny I don't see any fo us being immersed in this great giant world. "I think a bit of realism would be far more immersive and better. I think its important to have that fearful, emotional consideration in a game where we are fighting hideous monsters for survival." -TheEyeOfOdin Exactly my thoughts.
