Who would like to see this in the game. I think they could personally. With the Saturn rings and the Hive. They could do something cool in it with those. Almost like the Aliens we never had. This is not the whole game it is an element. Maybe only on a few ships or in marshes. Something with the right atmosphere.

Kind of like the Flood's introduction in Halo: CE
-
I would love to be exploring some tunnel/cave and suddenly my map goes nuts with activity and I have to ward off a random "zombie horde" event
-
As long as the survival-horror isn't the main theme of Destiny, I would be completely fine with that. For example having some completely abandoned areas be all dark and creepy looking with no enemies spawning until you are half way into the area. Then, they spawn all over the map. That way, you have to fight to move forward or even just to retreat.

4 AntwortenWith 4 player co-op? Nah.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von TravelerGuardian: 4/11/2013 11:05:03 PMI would like to have a few DOOM-esque moments while playing the game. I swear those older PC one's still scare me more than modern games. There's nothing like being surprise attacked by a whole bunch of at 2-D monsters. Old spaceship that has been overrun by the Hive would be extremely fun.

I do believe I will learn to fear The Hive.
-
5 AntwortenI can also see this in a few key areas hinted at, but it would only be survival horror if two things happen: 1) Ammunition in the location is extremely limited. 2) Players can only go in alone. Fighting with a friend, as proven in Dead Space 3, really takes out the scary from "survival horror". Now, it's still cool to fight with a friend, but there would need to be an event that separates the companions. THEN you have my attention in those areas.
-
I think maybe this could be good as a level specific type thing, or a different game mode, but i personally wouldn't like for this to be the overall theme. I do like these kinds of things, but i, as you said, wouldn't want it to be in all of Destiny.
-
I think it would make sense in some cases if your in an old dark ruin. Some hives could be waiting around the corner and creep up every once in a while but I don't see it being anywhere except dark ruins.

9 Antwortenthe flood was bad enough. If you want horror from Bungie go play "343 guilty spark" and "The Library"

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Bleu Elite: 4/15/2013 12:33:05 AMWouldn't the Hive be a good outlet for survival horror? I mean, they are space zombies
-
2 AntwortenI'd love to see Bungie try something like the Mona Lisa short from Halo: Evolutions. The idea of being trapped in the middle of space with a deadly foe worked well for Dead Space, did it not?
-
I wouldn't mind an "Oh, poop! I'm not going in there!" moment with the Hive. But not the entire game, as you said.
-
1 AntwortenDefinitely, although only in certain areas and you would have to force players to somehow be separated from their squad to make it scary
-
5 AntwortenOh definitely like the scenerio in Lord of the rings when they went to Moria and all was quite til one of the hobbits drop the armor down the well and BAM! all hell breaks loose...well atleast that was horrifying to me.
-
1 Antwortenoh def yes, would be nice if Bungie could take some pointers from the devs of especially the 1st dead space and incorporate those elements on some parts of the game, or maybe dedicate a planet to that sort of thing ;)
-
That would be fun, I'd like to see some fun spooky elements in Destiny.
-
Yes! Of course I wouldn't want the whole game to be like this, but having a few area that have spooky lighting, frightening situations, and creepy enemies would be awesome.
-
on like a hive home world yes but anywhere else not so much.
-
i wish that bungie could make the best horror aliens ore type of zombies and a huge history on them, best inmergive horror and panic missions and feeling
-
9 AntwortenI doubt they'd pull it off well, but maybe.
-
3 AntwortenI voted yes. I honestly think that's what we're getting with the Hive. And does anyone remember that picture of that pale creature with a sheet-like thing over it with blood stains near it's face? If that was a real enemy in the game, that'd scare the living heck outta me.
-
1 AntwortenI'd rather feel brave and awesome not like the scared person i am when I play dead space
-
1 Antwortenmaybe in certain dungeons with the Hive and stuff, but not the whole game.
-
3 AntwortenI'm sure some parts of the game will be more dark and tense, despite Destiny's overall hopeful atmosphere. Were there any particular mechanics you'd like to see or is this more of an atmosphere thing?
-
1 AntwortenI love the idea of seeing it every now and then. You don't see too many games that pursue different elements of the FPS without devoting their entire game to said element
